What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part is managing multiple tasks at the same time, especially during busy periods, but I’ve learned to stay calm, prioritize my work, and ask for support when needed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment feels welcoming and respectful, where people genuinely care about one another. There is a strong sense of teamwork, open communication, and support, which makes coming to work feel positive and motivating.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day involves staying busy and engaged, working with others, supporting different tasks, and adjusting to changing needs. Each day feels purposeful because I’m contributing, learning, and helping things run smoothly as part of a team.

This school was  a roller coaster ride, between the owner changing his mind daily, and the random staff hired weekly I would not recommend anyone working here. I was very hopeful at the prospect of working with refugee families, however, this school ended up being a place for students who are unable to get into the public school system due to poor behaviour.
The principal is a delightful human being and the staff are  wonderful, but it's hard to want to stay at a place when you are payed WELL below a competitive wage, and the owner makes decisions based on money, rather than what is best for the students and staff. 
It would have been much more enjoyable if expulsions were not treated as suspensions, and teachers were provided with adequate teaching materials.
I learned a lot in my time here, however, I was constantly staring at the light at the end of the tunnel - the end of my contract.

At this school the staff are all nice people, however, the management puts you down and abuses you and although there are some nice students, many of them are difficult to manage. The school manager is inept, yet acts arrogant and better than the teachers that are under him, who in fact know much more about teaching and handling students. As a teacher you are expected to move mountains with very little resources and not a very good space. Students do not have quality learning in this school and Alberta Education should shut it down. At the very least parents should avoid putting their children in at all costs as they will undoubtedly fall behind academically. It’s supposed to be a religious school but if religion includes kindness and mutual respect,  then I would say Mustafa academy is not kind or respectful towards its staff at its very core. Best just stay away!

Al Mustafa Academy has a positive working environment. As a teacher, I feel that I am respected by administrators. The most enjoyable part of the job is that I am in charge of my own class and allowed to work independently but always offered support when needed. This school provides me with a great balance of work and life experience and ability to meet with other educators. 
Overall, the school has a very pleasant and friendly working environment.

Stressful working environment where the school adminstrators expect you to do much more than what you paid for. They give you unclear instructions and unreasonable tasks. The administrators don't offer help and supports to you, evenwhen  most of the students require a lot of attention. If you decided to work here, good luck. Btw, they also cut your pay or keep your pay cheque hostage sometimes. 

One of the most disorganized work environments I have ever encountered. There were students in my class that weren't even enrolled in the school, but the school told me I had to teach them. The schedules still weren't set even when I left, which was almost 3 months into the school year. School had a culture of major disrespect towards all teachers. I would avoid this at all costs. I know multiple teachers quit shortly after I did because of the brutal management.

School is great in terms of staff, work, and resources. I strongly believe if the community gives more hand then the admin will exceed & excel more. 

The management needs to lay out their schedules more properly so events don't overlap.

My experience working at Al Mustafa Academy is overall wonderful. Very friendly and pleasant work environment. The staff are friendly and try their best to help. There is a sense of friendship and collaboration between the staff.  Coworkers are friendly and the parents overall I had a great experience with.


Very disorganized and disoriented workplace. So many issues with students and staff, it is too much to handle. Often pay would come back with discrepancies. Students are out of control and the school can no longer keep them under control. Very stressful, and a lot of overtime work is expected. Parents have 24/7 access to teachers. 

I worked 2.5- 3 years with them, had a great experience, it's a friendly environment. Admin is very helpful, considering their number of students jumped from 150 to 450, they are doing really good. Teaches and staff are very compassionate. Teachers get shared teacher aides in every room.
