The most enjoyable part of the job for me was training a younger employee.This sounds easy enough but when you run short handed all the time  you have to do your work and 80%  of his.So now you have to rethink the job .reorganize and have a attack plan. Some days you are extremly bissy and everyone knows this .next thing you know millwrights .electricians and supervisors are pitching in.awsome.A typical day at work was from one extreme to the other,it could be a very easy slow day or a perpetual nightmare were you had barly enough time to think.The lack of disapline was hard to edure and sometimes people were afraid of change.The Alpac people worked hard to get this millto were it is today through inovation and comrodery,it was a fun and pleasureable time

ALPAC is a good company to work for they offer good opportunities for training and upgrading. I have learned the benefits of being able to produce in varied work strategies.
The management is good but are in need of upgrading in some areas.
I don't find any areas of work over taxing.
The most enjoyable aspect of the the freedom of being able to work in a self directed work environment.

Toxic, crony groups influence. Depends on family or networking connections to get appreciated 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Rush to get stuff done without proactive planning

I enjoyed the different scenery in the job site. My first time working in a very structured job was refreshing. I got training on tank watch and gas tester just in case the company needed more gas testers during the shutdown. My duties as a tank watch was to make sure the scaffold workers or cleaners are entering a safe workplace and in case of an emergency it could be my job to get the ambulance there for the workers.

A once great place to work is declining quickly.  I made decent money there, but the current Management does not stand behind company's HR policies and allows bullying/mistreatment/harassment to persist.  If you are different in ethnicity, religion, gender or political views, you are ostracized.  Those that worked here in years past wouldn't recognize the place!

It's just like working with family. Very well oiled in the way the company conducts themselves. As well as the way they treat their employees. Although seasonal, it never feels like you miss a beat when you come back through the gate. I learned a lot from the ladies and gentlemen out there. If you get a chance, go for a walk through. Their dedication to the environment alone is amazing.

A welcoming and great place to work with superb respect for people across the organization.  A very good environment for varying work challenging opportunities to grow one's career.

The people are really friendly here. The work is challenging and changing on a daily basis.  Well compensated and vacation is pretty good. Opportunity for advancement, the encourage you to better yourself. Great place to work, highly recommend.

Solid financial position. The company supports employees, Indigenous and local communities on many aspects. Very good benefits plans. 
Significant changes in senior management during the last two years  and delay by shareholder in approving significant CAPEX bring uncertainty about the future growth and changes in workplace culture.


What used to be amazing culture has regressed with a changing workforce that was stable for so long. Potential to be great again is there, but seems a few years away.  

Management seems disconnected to these changes and shifting to new management away from the old guard seems to be positive now than a couple years ago.
