A typical day at work for me was seeing an average of 6 clients per day in a 7.5 hour day. 
I learned a lot about case management software, housing prospecting, community resource navigation, relevant housing and social work legislation such as the RTA, eviction prevention, networking and MATHTO subsidized housing applications. 
Management diligently attended AGM's, were always easy to get a hold of, and always supportive of providing training opportunities. 

If you have  a mind of your own,  please don't apply. You have to jump to the tune of others.  I was over worked and under paid,  I worked with an individual who lied on a client's  situation just so she doesn't have to deal with the clients Dyer situation.  Serving my community and the wonderful people  with in it , made going into a drama base EMPLOYMENT daily  very rewarding .

Duties did not fit the job description. I had to find work to do, which most seemed under-productive. The staff were low key, nobody seemed happy. It was boring and not challenging as the manager was rarely around or available. Terrible location, transit wise. If you wanted to take a lunch break and get fresh air, there was nothing around. Felt isolated.

If you want to be treated unfairly work here. This place is all about who you know not what you know. I felt my manager was sincerely intimidated by me. It was a stressful place to work with their office politics. The clients were no problem its the staff that was the issue. Working community development thankfully I worked alone had an amazing experience 

This job at the time was a type of contract and placed by a government agency which capped the amount of pay and duration. While in the position, there was no real direction, job duties were not equal to job description. Had to look for odd jobs to do. Executive Director was rarely present or available. Enviroment was depressing. Commute was 1 hr 20 min by public tran transit.

Lack of direction, job duties did not fit job description. Moral was low... Many staff seemed unhappy. Nonprofit organization. Not enough staff or resources to handle community needs.in some departments.

Provides services that fullfill the needs of clients withlow income. Supports the needs of the community without catchemnet area. Most services has no fee.

I thoroughly enjoyed working at ANS, I was on contract fo a year as an Administrative Assistant for a year. That year taught me a lot about community work and the people that work to help others.

Each day its something new, When I walk into Albion Neighbourhood Services all i see is a room filled with beautiful smiles, I love working with the youths; they bring joy and greatness to the workplace
