The pm was pretty arrogant in Edmonton. Instead of talking to both parties hed accuse you of thi gs without being fully informed. He also told me i wasnt allowed to fill up our water bottles unless on break, which is illegal. I went to file a complaint but went to the labour board instead of human rights. I still have the recording. Also a lot of the other guys wanted to treat first years poorly and i was encouraged to just do as they say. I was also trained by an alcoholic second year and criticized that i was making mistakes. If they would have talked to me sooner, this would have been resolved without issue. All that being said, i had issues and i wasn't a perfect employee. I came to realize that i hate electrical. Also in the pms defense, he actually offered to drive me ho.e when day when my truck wouldn't start and tried to help me fix it. I think he was mainly under a lot of pressure and was away from his family a lot. In the end i dont think its a bad company, there was just a few kinks to work out there. I would recommend it to a started because they will indenture you and take the time to teach you.

Overtime that’s unpaid. Terrible attitudes, not a good experience working there at all. Don’t teach much, tell you you will learn it in school without explaining why you’re doing what you’re doing. Explain things like you’ve been doing it for years. Lots of people come and go. Told by office not to use benefits you pay into because it makes the premiums for them go up.

Learnt a lot working here. They have lots of jobs on the go so there is lots of work and all different kinds of tasks, not usually doing the same thing for too long. Hardest part of the job would be the fast-paced environment. Pretty fun people to work with for the most part and some fun social events like a company golf day and a softball tournement.

Made us sign away overtime rights. They preach a family environment, but will cut higher up apprentices to hire first years to save a quick buck. If you dont golf or play hockey well dont even bother with this company. the amount of ball licking to advance yourself isnt worth it

standard commercial work. nice group of guys. learned a lot there. they could pay better as some bigger companies pay a bit more with better benefits. 

The apprenticeship was great with all my journey men besides the last. Besides the one fellow, the team was exceptionally kind, hard working, full of knowledge and a pleasure to learn from.

This company seems to employ some of the best people out there. Never had a problem learning from everybody. If you work hard and put effort in they treat you well. 

the feeling you get working for this company is similar to joining a cult, seems like an amazing place to work at first until you realize how little they care for there workers.

Didn’t learn that much while working there. The one journeyman expected me to know what I was doing as an inexperienced apprentice. Made me feel afraid to approach and ask questions

Overall the experience has been better than most commercial shops. 

Pros: Was never on a bad crew, always learning from good people, always busy. 

Only con: wont cover miscellaneous expenses
