I was an original employee, started in 2017.  I have seen many people come and go.  There was a culture where production and quality worked together, where teams worked to ensure quality standards were met and didn’t foster a rubber stamping product launch attitude.  Rapid expansion and very aggressive timelines for launching new concentrate derived products caused many employees who were dedicated to start to burnout.  Trying to build an inventory was always a challenge.  There has always been a divide between food and pharma, and too many aggressive timelines and not give clear direction because forecasting would change on a daily basis.

My overall experience before the acquisition was very beneficial but during a transition stage there was lack of management and human resource support.  Marketing was very aggressive and did not have any remorse for production constraints.  Too much money was spent for retrofits, poor design choices, multiple consultants, which resulted in sacrificing to hire people to cover the expansion costs.  

The one thing I wish that was provided by the management team was support and guidance.  Many “people leaders” would have stayed if support and guidance were provided.  It is a shame because the people on the floor made the culture and environment positive, without the people who does management lead and mold new “people leaders”. 

Overall working in Paris you will gain valuable experience and you will wear multiple hats but you will not be compensated compared to other License Holders, do not expect an end of year bonus for exceeding KPIs.  It’s a place that will teach you how to manage stress and multi-task.  Gain the experience and find a license holder or other employer that will compensate you, they are out there.  This is a tough industry and is not for the faint of heart.  Look for a license holder that has a management team that worked for other major license holders and understands the struggles of the “ramp up phase” because this phase can last many years.  




You do not get an increase in pay, if you end up with a "promotion" and take on more work and responsibility you do not get paid more. You are hired on as a "Rec Pack" employee even if that is not what you applied for. Temps are treated differently then full time employees and often leave after being told that they will be hired on at a later date and then have more people hired off the street. Management for the "Rec Pack" room is HIGHLY lacking in communication skills and the ability to compose themselves when talking to employees working on the floor(Supervisor and above ranks). Safety is claimed to be "Very important to them" when they lack fire safety. Employees have refused work after having very pressing production control and quality concerns to which are brushed off by room management. You can email HR with questions and concerns and will not receive answers back and/or be simply ignored. This section of the company will not accommodate you if you tried to return to work with accommodations and will immediately place you on unpaid sick leave and will not discuss anything further unless you are able to get a return to work notice. People in the office and higherups have been known to not follow health and safety regulations including Covid policies.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the people that will be working with you, management not included. This is a very stressful job that they will not tell you the truth about during the interview or when you arrive at on your first day. 

Well first of all the place is covered In Powdery mildew. I have worked in the cannabis industry for years and I have never seen a growing operation with so much Powdery Mildew on products they actually sell. Management is mainly on there phone talking to friends and texting during the shift While delegating manual labour on the employees. They say it’s for work but I’ve over heard conversations that were completely unrelated to work. Barely any knowledge in team leaders on the floor. All around bad experience with growers that think they know everything, but aren’t willing to teach or share. This a good place to Work if you know nothing  about cannabis and want to be a number in system and just need a pay check.

Started out good. A couple of weeks into the job, shifts changed, and pay decreased. Management is terrible. Management and permanent staff treat temporary staff with no respect. They seek fault even when there isn't any. The staff are very hypocritical and cant follow their own rules. Very toxic work environment. Permanent staff love to dictate and control you. They say that after 3 months they will hire you on but plenty of people there have been there for over 3 months and they are nowhere near hiring them. The most enjoyable part of the job is that you get experience in the cannabis industry.

Don’t consider working here. The management at aleafia is some of the worst management I’ve ever experienced. You get belittled by higher employees on the regular. The hours are awful. Your coworkers can be some of the rudest and narcissistic people you’ll ever work with. Everyone secretly hates eachother. If you want to show up for a job where you’re not going to happy for 8-10hrs a day work here. You have to wear a lab coat, lab pants, work boots, hairnet, beard net, shoe covers. And you get 2 15mins and it takes you at least 5-6 do get everything off. So your 2 15s are basically 9-10mins and if you have to go outside it’s more like 6.

No long term employees, those that have been there more than a year are basket cases of nerves and stress. Huge expections and work load. No respect for work-life balance. HR is a huge department of immature nit picking power tripping people who do not follow Ontario workplace rules. Quick to fire and hire. Company is in the stock market and is heavy in corporate roles who do little to improve the company. Cubicles for all except managers. Nice facility, free coffee and everyone seems nice to your face, just do not get to comfy.

Higher up people don't even acknowledge you, be prepared for extra work especially if some co-workers are lazy, they will not say anything to them because they have been working for longer time or because they are new and nobody is leading them. 

The harder you work the more they have you do but of course with the same pay. They will say you did a good job most likely but that's it, no incentive or motivation to continue doing a GREAT JOB! 
HR definitely does not realize the value that some people add to the company until they are gone, SADLY!

Health and safety is a joke and im not even kidding, be extra safe if you work there.



I led a room, cleanup, work 8h, and cleanup.
I learned not to stick my neck out, for the overall betterment of the workplace, in a corporate setting.
Management was like highschool, cliqués, favorites and bullying.
Toxic beyond any other work environment.
Hardest part of the job would be working with dangerous machines we weren’t trained on.
Most enjoyable part of the job was the product we worked with.

Used to be a good place to work but really went downhill (as of 2021). They are too focused on cutting costs on the important stuff then end up wasting money on pointless stuff like pizza lunch for managers meetings. Some people have been there for several years and make the same and those who just got hired. They expect long hours and the pay is well below what other LPs are offering. Zero job security as people kept getting let go for no reason. They will take what they can from you and leave you high and dry. Dont work for Aleafia.

I have to say for working with Aleafia Health for the last month or so had been amazing. All the people are so nice and great to be around. The hours are reasonable and the well do what they can do help you out if need 8 hours five days out of week or 10 hours four days out of the week. The pay is good and have benefits as will. All in all a great place to work close to home and fast pace jobs/ slow pace jobs. They have a job for everyone and welling and ready to teach more about the cannabis industry 😊
