A typical day starts with excitement and briefing of the previous shift. This gives us an understanding of the workflow and tasks in hand. Go through reports and updates on our system. Make quick notes of things to do and work from it. Most employees are returning from duties and might be in a hurry to go home. Make the transition smoother to avoid unwanted debacles.

Being warm and friendly with stakeholders help to set standard and resolve unwarranted issues from arising. Not all days are rosy. We might have special requests such as re-attempts and delivery instructions. 

Proper and detailed reporting to the management and colleagues will keep them in tab. We learn new things daily and best to highlight them. Its simply a learning curve.

Money is NOT worth it. You only make $2 perstop after running your vehicle all over. Extreme wear and tear. Theres intimidation and threats followed by lack of jobs to make you tow the line. Constantly hiring new drivers to replace the ones who leave after first pay, which is conveniently after a month. Job numbers are not given so that the revenue from that job is siphoned off somewhere else. Dispatcher constantly screws up, and goes on panic mode after to intimidate you to do the job which was turned down because of the very low value of the job. Some jobs are paid 2 to 3 months after. The payment structure is designed to confuse contractors. You dont always get paid for everything done on the same day so tracking and matching job numbers are onerous. Really shady operation

I helped in the office taking calls for pick up and deliveries. Learned how to accept payments and apply to accounts. Did cheque deposits weekly.
I also was a courier driver who worked independently. Management was great until a position came up OI was cross trained in and another person was offered it that just came on board. That was a slap in my face. I then took ownership of a new position doing parcels and mail delivery of the bags for Canada Post. I trained a couple times new recruits then decided it was time to move on.
I enjoyed certain aspects of knowing the dedicated run and preferred it overall.

You are a private contractor when you work for these guys you’re basically left on your own if you have any problems or concerns if you bring it to their attention they just ignore you or the problems and they do not back up their employees I was assaulted at my delivery locations and I was assaulted by a coworker at those locations and when I brought it to my companies attention into the companies attention to which I was delivering to instead of dealing with the issues properly they had me released and fired me instead of dealing with the problem and standing up for me walk away Do not work for these heartless cruel people

They say 9-5, yet they want you to call them between 8-8:30. you end up working after 5 after the dispatcher gives you too much work to do. sometime you'd swear that you're the only one they can get to pick up a package. If they don't like you, they put you downtown toronto where the traffic is tight and you have to pay for parking sometimes or risk getting a ticket and they tell you to hurry up. Those who are tight with the dispatcher gets all the best orders. It's all about the dispatcher

You are treated as a number. Quality of work depends on relationship with dispatcher. Management is non existant. If you have any pressing issues, they are MIA. They throw you under the bus. They lie about the value of each order. Horrible place to work at. All the risk is on you, nothing on them. You are "self-employed", however you have to adhere to a 9-5 schedule. Hands down, worst company I have ever worked for. I wouldn't recommend this job to my worst enemy.

While I worked at All Canadian I was able to work coast to coast and collaborate with a variety of our management. I have worked in a lot of teams and very few have the level of connection that the All Canadian employees shared. When team members get along inside and outside of the office especially in companies above 100 employees the quality of work increases drastically.

Dispatchers would rush you while loading the vehicle. For the schedule they have their own favorite people so you will lose some shifts or hours because of that.
Dispatch would lie to you blaming Amazon when they cut your hours.

Payroll is really rud when you have questions and concerns.

A typical day included customer service, collection calls, data entry, problem solving, invoicing, billing, backup to branch manager, dispatch and overseen the daily operations of the branch

Good place to work. Dealing with so many problem  it helps you to improve your skills. Soft , communication skills. I've been working there for almost 5 months it was very helpful for me
