By far one of the better places I've worked at ! The culture is very inclusive to everyone with many events and barbecues/catered lunches etc. They go above and beyond what an employer is required to provide with many gifts throughout the year and a consistent flow of company gear / ppe so you never really have to worry about work attire aside from your workboots but you get an allowance for that aswell ! There is ample room for growth and promotion so long as you show up and give it your best while keeping a keen eye for details . Management is very receptive to feedback and provide an open door policy for any issues that may arise . Overall  if you show up everyday and have a good attitude this is a great place to start or continue your flat roofing career! 

Wake up for 4am to be at the shop for 5, then leave the workplace to go to the job site for 5:30.
Get on site and depending on the type of job we are on, we could be doing a rip ( ripping old roof off ) and applying the new one on.
There is a long process to doing this which made for very long days.
Or new roof and just adding ( Iso ) which is insulation.

The people, well they varied. Some good people, some awful..
My foreman was very hot headed and always had the mind set of "Gogogogo" But he always had nothing but good to say about me, only behind my back though, he couldn't let me know I was doing good work cause he didn't want me slacking! aha.
Hardest part of the job would be everything, start to finish.
But you learned to enjoy some things along the way such as using the machinery and tools.

By the time everything was all said and done, you were looking at a 12 plus hour day.

Early mornings, work till late usually
Management at Head-base is good, off site on the job field it's terrible
Hardest part of the job is putting up with the coworkers that mentally, verbally, and physical abuse and use you along with refusing to train new hires or help them out
Most enjoyable part of the job was the paycheck and the days that got cancelled

My experience at Alliance was a bit of a roller coaster. Some of the supervisors and management were awesome and supportive, while others were selfish and self serving. The room for growth and learning was very small. If you were eager and 'hungry' for knowledge, it is was a very slow process. But it was a great place to start my roofing career. Met some good people.

Overall, I had an amazing experience and learned so much. The office environment was always really enjoyable and there was always something to do. All co-workers were great and very valuable experience was gained.

For this job I learned so much in so little time that I worked here..I really loved working with the senior staff..they were a really bunch of great guys and had the patience to teach you the skills that needed to be done for the tasks that needed to be done

Good job for hours and money. Early start and long days most days and good people to work with. Paid weekly which is great. Transportation offered from the shop to the job site and back, must have own way to the shop in Guelph

I thoroughly enjoyed working for Alliance Roofing as it is more of a career setting. I loved working in the office and as a receptionist. I answered phones, a/r, organized files, etc.

If you work hard and listen you will be rewarded. Show up on time and try not to get brought down by the poor attitudes of coworkers. Lots of freedom and blue skys, good company if you have the right crew.

Everyone is very welcoming and helpful to new employees. the envirnment is inclusive and a fun job to be at. Management treats employees with respect.
