Believe all the reviews about the in crowd and outsiders. The in group is family and friends, nepotism rules all and these people can't be touched. Everyone else is always on edge stressing about job security. It doesn't matter how long you've been there, or how good you are, you will never be safe. Seen people that have been there 5+ years get fired without cause. Layoffs/ terminations come with no notice and are not related to amount of work on the books. You'll never be safe,no matter how long you've been there. Long term employees are frequently fired (without cause) despite never having any disciplinary issues, or performance concerns, or anyone talking to them first to give the opportunity to change. Management is all friends and mostly worked on the tools together, don't actually have training on how to manage. Very top heavy, people get let go to keep the friends during tight times. In crowd is only opinion who matters, even if they don't work with the person directly.

Horrible. It’s not what you are supposed to do in your role, it’s more about how the people you report to are feeling that day to decide if they’ll work with you or not. Huge ego with not much expert knowledge. There is no guideline nor system to adapt; it is the biggest joke in the industry.
They are poorly educated and had no clue but tried to walk all over you. Most of the people with titles such as Manager, Director and VP titles don’t come from such background; they are not experts in the role they are put in. They end up bringing someone in with background and knowledge but the new guys don’t survive long either. They seem to get sponged their knowledge and are removed when they don’t “suck up”. When you’re in a meeting room privately with managers they’ll either gossip about other people or talk badly about things. If you don’t agree with them or act so, they’ll cut you out. The management don't have any capacity to coach or educate their people it's about ego and talking bad.

Very much a chaotic environment where nepotism and favoritism is rampant. There is the “in” group and the “out” group. You’ll know very quick where you stand. If you are a looking for a place where you can make a difference and be appreciated for your hard work and effort, this is not the place for you. Revolving door of junior staff and an un-fireable horde of incompetent senior managers and supervisors. Terrible job security. You will not move up here unless you’re family and have some sort of “legacy” connection to someone in the company with “clout”. Relatives and friends of upper management do rather well though.

Productive work environment. Very busy office for the payroll department. Monday to Thursday is extremely busy preparing and payroll. Monday to Thursday was busy period. All the time sheets had to be printed and checked for accuracy. Then the time sheets are put into order by the last name. The worked hours are entered into the in house system. The payroll is completed and then once again given to check the entries. Once the entries are correct. Then the batches are scanned every single sheet by date. The scanned copies are thrown away but the scanned copies are kept into the date base by monthly basis

Management lacks professionalism and effective leadership. There is noticeable favoritism and internal politics, and several individuals in senior roles do not have the operational or business knowledge needed to lead effectively. Employees are promised a supportive environment, but the follow-through is lacking.

There is also an ongoing level of internal conflict and drama that makes the workplace feel inconsistent and unstructured.

Unless you are part of the established inner circle, it can feel like you are constantly navigating unnecessary challenges.

Overall, the workplace presents itself well from the outside, but the reality is very different. I would not recommend applying here based on my experience.

I really enjoyed my job when I worked at Allteck. I would go in early, leave late, didn't worry about time. When I was done my work, I went home. I moved up very quickly in this company and was treated very well. I was told on more than one occasion, that I was doing a good job, by the CEO. I tracked and billed all jobs. Gathering all the info required to bill the job, entering data into Maxwell system for billing. I worked closely with Payroll to pull together the hours for payroll. The hardest part was not having the support of management when you are in a supervisory position. I loved every other part of this job.

Excellent position to come into and to learn a lot about your accounting basics, costs and revenues, invoicing (albeit manually), billing multiple jobs, getting deliverables in order and working on a deadline. Fantastic support from all levels of management and knowledge from top to bottom of who's who-- first name basis with all employees in company. Excellent team work, great communication and org structure. Would happily work here again at a moments notice. 
Some stress running on tight deadlines which is to be expected. Compensated well for overtime and travel. Questions always answered and never had any doubts about asking them.

Very progressive company to work for, industry leaders. Flexible work life balance, great wages, benefits and RRSP contributions. Extra health & wellness benefit. Lots of exciting work happening right now. Work environment is fast paced. Awesome teams supporting each other from the field to office and great software programs being used to gain efficiencies. This is a Powerline contractor with many opportunities for diverse work experience no matter what your role is. If you are a go getter and willing to dive in to something new and learn as you go, the work can be as exciting as you choose to make it.

Seems like it is a friendly place but people are always talking behind peoples backs. Training doesn't exist or you have to ask your co-workers for the info and half the time they are too busy to help. No point going to any of the managers as they are too worried about the Parent company telling them what to do. Major turnover is an issue but the pay was good benefits aren't great, There is not a lot of support when you have issues and if you are off on leave you have to hope you will have a job when you return.   

Company is largely family members or friends of family. If you are not in the circle you will not get a promotion or have security. Executives struggle with communication and cohesive leadership. Operates in fragmented groups rather than one company. Benefits and pay are good, but they don't believe in raises or reviews. Those that are well connected will get promotions that weren't even posted positions. No room for growth of an administrator. Some good managers but not enough to counteract the nepotism and favouritism between family and friends.
