Ally Financial

In June 2018, Alim Financial Services Limited has recruited me and I’ve become Member of World Financial Group because I am having Permanent Resident status in Canada. Alim Financial Services has a good work-life environment, where the most enjoyable part of work is that the management is very helpful. I was adaptable and quickly adjusted to changes in organizational goals and team structure, got acquainted to office timing (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), punctual in attendance, maintained meeting schedule and assignment parameters, which was only possible by me, due to I’ve long work experience and educational background in Canada (Trios College: www.trios.com), and in Egypt, UK, Bangladesh and Nigerian organizations, where, I've learned online software: QuickBooks, SAGE 50, SAGE 300, AME ENGAGE, MS Office 365, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as well as, learned Education savings, investments, insurance solutions, and small business development tools. I applied the knowledge of Accounting and Payroll solutions to customers, dealt with a dedicated professional approach and managed multiple projects seamlessly, gave them good life-changing advises and shown excellent ability to work effectively under pressure and under tight deadlines.

Ally bank is an online over the phone based bank that first started out in only the United States but by the time I had left it had started their business here in Canada. 
It was a great place to work,  it was easy to be outgoing and confident in your sales because it was done over the phone. The responsibilities I had at Ally bank were answering calls from customers who either had issues with their banking or were wanting just generic banking done for themselves. Most customers who called in were investing thousands of dollars. It was my job to distinguish which CD`s and IRA`s best fit their life style.
It was very fun helping these customers from all over the US with their banking needs.
We each got our own cubicle and in between phone calls we were allowed to whisper amongst ourselves and take personal breaks if needed. It was a very relaxed but also exciting environment.

The management of the company does not care about the employees or the customers. Their policies are designed to squeeze as much productivity out of both as possible in terms of revenue. I have no problem with this, my issue is that they refuse to admit that. they will tell you to 'put the customer first' despite policies clearly designed to exploit them. If you can 'read between the lines' and figure out what management really wants it's not a bad job. If you desire an honest and open work culture; avoid at all costs.

The job itself was managed alright, the dress code was kind of ridiculous but made sense. The atmosphere and bonuses were terrible though, as it is a very depressing job, but the pay was okay and it is a good job if you want something that's easy and no labor. Before I got the job I was told I can work full-time Monday to Friday but i ended up with only a few choices after training and had to take a shift that was 2:30-11PM and the lunches were not paid.

Staff is treated very poorly. 
There is hardly ever any support, and when someone does come to help they make you feel bad.
There are quality agents who meet with staff daily, and will fail a reps quality if they fill out a form or find an answer in a different matter then what is written in help tools. Everyday everyone was scared that they were going to be fired, and it caused a very negative environment everyday

A typical day would be very busy, fast, and quick. I very much enjoyed working there. The management team and supervisors are also very friendly and approachable. 
The hardest part of the job was getting angry customers. 
The most enjoyable part of the job was resolving customer's complaints and making them happy at the end of the call with your working skills.

Great company. Fun, friendly and helpful environment. Long training  experience to ensure employees are knowledgeable and confident at their job. Plenty of opportunities to move up in the company. Shift changes every 3 months. Great benefit packages and company surprises to thank employees for their great work and customer service.

Management is very bad, company does not care for their employees, or does anything to make taking calls and being abused by customers better.

Hours are very bad, and the pay is very low for the amount of stress you have to go through. 

Managers/supervisors are all very unprofessional. Highschool all over again.

Breaks and Lunches are very strict.
Learning new things every day as every call is different.
My co-workers are very easy going and enjoyable to be around.
Hardest part of the day is not having the resources to provide the best customer service.

worked here for a short time and loved the athmosphere , however I could not work afternoon shift as I did not drive at the time and couldn't be finished work as late as 1 am or 2 am and continuously scheduled me for these shifts so I had no choice but to find new work
