Almost Perfect

Going into a shift at Almost Perfect starts off with checking to see what the manager would like you to do. Some days they will ask you to help put out items from a shipment that just came in. Other days you will come in and start working on cash. I have been able to better my communication skills with the public along with fast speed when a rush comes in. I have received awards from my work of appreciation by showing initiative. I had the opportunity to be working under two different managers during my time. I have been fortunate to learn a lot of important skills under their supervision. While jugging work and school, my managers have always been fair in allowing me to be flexible in my school/work timetable. They have taught me how to work quickly and efficiently while still completing the necessary task. The workplace has always been welcomed to different cultures and have respected everyone's different religions. The hardest part of the job would be having to work with unsatisfied customers while trying to keep them happy. I would say the most enjoyable part about this job is working along with the team that we have there. Another enjoyable part about working at Almost Perfect is working with the public and being able to help those that need help.

I overall had a fun experience with my coworkers, with the job requirements, and I appreciated the managers leniency with my availability. My problem with this job was, I worked hard and did everything to the best of my ability, and got nothing but complaints about what I didn’t have time to do. This job is very short staffed (by choice), I got paid minimum wage while people quitting got offers of a raise, and the manager would not show up if someone called in for their shift. 
I would not recommend this job if management remains the same. 

My time at Almost perfect was really great. The management staff is amazing, you are treated as a person not just a other employee. The only complaint I have is that you have to cover you own shift if you need to call in for any reason. I feel that that should be the responsibility of the shift manager.  I would recommend Almost Perfect (Grocery Outlet) to anyone.

I made the silly mistake of leaving for "better" opportunities that never came.

I miss this place every single day and would love to go back! Coworkers, management and head office were all very inclusive and friendly. Loved the pace work of the job and the experience of both front Cash and back room! Amazing time.

Good people to work with, the customers are excellent. I learned how to send emails to the head office. Management is awesome by listening and trying to help with situations. The hardest part of the job was unloading the trucks every week and the most enjoyable part of the job was being with the public and co workers.

Good place to work for people who have short term goals. They pay good money for your hard work. But also at the same time they have no discount for employees and using 20 years old technology. No advancement in technology. They could do better than that.

Almost Perfect was a good place to work as a young person, especially if you were a student or taking some time off of school. I did not see myself working there for a long period of time as there is no career advancement, or raises, along with no benefits or discounts.

The job itself can be rather repetitive however working with like minded and hard working individuals makes the job worth keeping. It is no different than any other place I have worked before there are still days that drag on but most of them fly by in the blink of an eye

I was consistently called in so management could go home for naps, never appreciated for the work I did above and beyond my job description. Absolutely no organization and incompetence from management.
