After working here for a full month it's time to write a review. Starting on your first day there really isn't much in the way of training or orientation, however by the end of the first day or two you pretty much know all you need to perform the basic tasks they have you do. The night supervisor and Lead hand can seem a little cold at first and reluctant to engage with you but this is due to the high turnover rate that they experience and feeling as though their time is being wasted by people who quit the first day. The work is repetitive and physically draining but is not over all difficult to do. The night shift is long and I find I need lots of caffeine, anti-inflammatories and mild pain relievers to get through the shift. I am always sore afterwards. I am not paid much $17.06 per hour. I feel as though my time and effort is worth more but after reading the Local 183 Union handbook I find the pay scale looking forward to be Bleak and depressing. The benefits they offer you once you complete the probationary are decent yet the wage increase promised year-over-year is rather miniscule. I see this company as being a decent place to gain some basic rough carpentry experience before moving on and attempting to find more prosperous employment in the field of carpentry or perhaps seeking an apprenticeship in carpentry. Overall I would consider this to be bare-bones employment where you can expect to net a biweekly paycheck of about $1,200.


Little to no training... day shift is beyter than night crew. Night supervisor and his lead hand are not pleasant to work around. Little more than minimum wage and not worth it... For someone who likes manual labour I thought I'd love the work but atmosphere is toxic and management does not care about growth or its employees. They see you as a number and replacable. They are union but poorly managed too and does nothing to help the workplace. Pass on applying here...

Working on the wall lines is mind numbing work, and building floors is always a mess because the designers are constantly rushed by their superiors. If not for the poor management and low wages/minimal opportunities to make more money, this would be a great place to work. Unfortunately, the owner doesnt realize that when you treat your workers like garbage, they do not want to work hard for you.

I used to work here over a year ago, supervisors push you beyond your limit for management I've heard threatening to replace workers with robots. The company also does everything they can from stopping you from moving forward and up the ranks to higher rates of pay. Tools barely function, machines never operate correctly and you'll get put into a position and forgotten if you don't speak up for yourself.

Managers are horrible, expect way to much for way to little. Most of the time the items/tools you need to complete a job are missing or broken. Not to mention they are scamming people out of money by promising raises they aren't giving, not to mention find every excuse to cover their backs at the expense of workers. Moral is horrible and everyone seems to hate their jobs.

Theres a lot of great people that i enjoy working around. If you are confused there is usually someone around you that you can ask to help. Sometimes the supervisors are difficult to reason with, but if you just keep your head down and work your shift, you shouldn’t have many issues 

Poor management that watch your every move. Whether by video camera or by gps tracking, big brother is watching. 
Management makes a lot of promises and don't deliver. Trucks are poorly maintained because of management penny pinching. Regular overloading trailers can be expected. It is unionized but don't expect anything other then deductions on your pay cheque.

Managers constantly bicker at you to speed up even though your trying your best with the horrible equipment provided. There are some nice people but the environment is still incredibly toxic. A good place to learn basic carpentry skills for a few months but that's about it.

The equipment provided is absolute dog water but they insist that we deal with it. The place of work is a absolute disaster that they expect to look amazing. The owners are a bunch of smug entitled guys . Supervisors constantly annoys you to go faster and “get those numbers up” all around this place is greedy and stay away from it

Amazing company to work for! The benefits were with local 183 and I received vision, dental, pension! To top it all off there was plenty of overtime and bonuses for Christmas! Every year I always got a raise !
