Working as a ski instructor at Alpine Ski Club was seriously one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. I loved every part of it—from spending my days on the mountain to helping people find their confidence on skis. There’s something so special about seeing a student finally link their turns or conquer a run they were nervous about. The vibe at Alpine was amazing too. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming—it felt like a big family. I always looked forward to coming in, whether it was for a sunny bluebird day or teaching in a snowstorm. It never really felt like “work” because I was doing something I loved, surrounded by people who felt the same. Plus, being outdoors, active, and part of such a fun community made it all even better. I’ll always be grateful for the memories and the people I met along the way

What is the best part of working at the company?
Very hard to think of one. You get a ski pass , but you don't get to ski very much as you work weekends and on your days off the club is closed.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No communication between management /supervisors. No team work or camaraderie . Pay the bare minimum that they can get away with.  Very poor relationship between departments and staff. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very poor. Very lazy staff. Harsh unkind , unfeeling management .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Unstructured and unorganized .

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good hours and great bosses. Very friendly staff to work with. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not enough time some days to complete the tasks at hand. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good but could be better.  Some personality conflicts can make the job difficult. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy with a variety ofjobs which makes the day go faster.

I've learned a lot of teamwork on this job. We rotate positions, and looking after one another's needs is important. Management at Alpine has always been good, On weekdays its not very busy and I find the  boredom tough to deal with.
The best part of the job is when I greet happy people, getting on the chair.

Nice place to work if you don't like a fast paced or challenging environment, although the slow paced can make the days drag. Working every weekend is also not ideal.  Beautiful facility and friendly staff, club members and their children can be challenging to be around since not all of them are respectful of club staff.  
Quit working for the ski club mainly due to the commute.

The job was good, the members excellent however the operations manager is moody and unpredictable and this poisons the job. Communication with this individual is like living in a bipolar wonderland. One never knows what one will get. It's not worth the hassle working at Alpine. You'll regret it...

Honestly had a fun time at Alpine had some medical issues and they were very supportive and helpful. Was nice to have a good team to work with and there was a few times members would be rude or angry at you For no reason but the managers always had your back

Never a dull moment here at alpine ski club, fun and exciting place to work and gain work experience and very rewarding seeing your student compete against themselves to the best of their ability

Was given the responsibility to judge and officiate an assortment of winter sport races such a slalom skiing and snowboard cross. I also officiated races such as the FIS. This experience taught me how to function under pressure and gave me the chance to show and increase my integrity and sportsmanship.

Family friendly yet still social!
Many staff return year after year because it is a great place to work.
