The shift starts at 7am with a small meeting with the shipping supervisors and then the team is divided to a 2 person group. After getting an order, we have to search for the inventory in the shelves and pack the material as bulk or large bundles.

I learnt to use new types of equipment which used to roll aluminum material and connect them. Time management was a factor while working for 2 or more customers. Need to be punctual.

The management is good, they prioritize tasks daily so that the extra material wont be thrown away.
Co-workers are friendly, they look after each other and help when needed.
The hardest part of the job is when there are more customers and less teams to work. the effort and the man power is then doubled.

The most enjoyable part of the job is in the morning at the meeting where everyone is present and have smiles on their faces

Shady.  Continuous hiring and firing of plant supervisors.  Outdated computer system and inventory organization systems.  Employees working for ten years on the plant floor made similar or exactly the same pay as employees working for just one year.  Continuous loss of material and work hours.  Just sloppy management and under-paid long term plant employees.  An attitude of "If you don't like it here is the door." when issues were brought up to management which lead to an unorganized environment and poor moral through out the plant.  There was no ventilation on the large saws cutting the aluminum, and all heath and safety tests where performed during the slowest work periods.

In my opinion the company has a great group of workers and the superiors have great management. The most enjoyable thing about being part of Alumicor company is working with great individuals which creates a great environment for everyone and it's workers. I have learned many things from this company and those skills are very useful tools in everyday life. These skills are making windows, doors, frames and learning the correct ways to use the tools needed for the job.

Started off my a quick meeting with the supervisor. He will tell us how the productivity of the previous shifts and our task for the day. Information regarding health benefits, work, vacation and etc was easily obtained from the office. 

Was surrounded by friendly people but at the same time demanded punctuality and hard work from one another since time management was one the hardest things part of the job.

I like to do work over there but the reason why i left that job is due to less salary. I used to prepare orders for customers and
  shipped it out. Sometimes, i use to work as a desk clerk as well and i had to manage lot of stuff over there. I have a experience of RF scanner as well. But i like to work in warehouse environment because i have post graduate diploma in supply chain management.

Revolving door on the plant floor for Production Supervisors. Really poor local upper management. Many of the upstream business processes are deeply flawed. Yet, to protect themselves, the upper management invariably blames the Production Supervisor.

Company claims mutual respect is key, but a lot of people talking behind each other's back. Plant manager thinks swearing if a good motivational technique, but it just draws out laughs. Despite a really good wage they can't retain new hires. Totally blind to weaknesses in their corporate culture.

There was always more politics in this company done than actual work. Once they were purchased by American publicly traded company, things started to hit the fan.
There are a lot of people there that will back stab you just to put themselves in better light. Same is for the parent company.

A well organized company always looking for improvement, follows all the rules and regulations, including the safety and welfare of the employees, respect each other opinion, open minded on various suggestions and recommendations.
