Amazing Party Store

The staff was very welcoming and organized, I had many opportunities to learn new things like working in retail and being in cashier. I'd be in cashier most part of the day which was fun and I was really good at it. When I wasn't working in cash I'd to help at the fitting rooms and help costumers try merchandise on, fold costumes and put away products. The managers would always find hours that were convenient for all the staff and the store, and always considered that most of the staff were students. It was easy to address any concerns to my managers and there was barely any problems. Hardest part of the job was to carry heavy merchandise around the store, but the rest of the staff would offer to help.

I worked at the store at both old and new locations (Etobicoke & Mississauga).  I found the place a good experience for someone going into the event industry. The owners gave me hours  that worked around my school schedule.  Staff were good to work with on the weekends, mostly students.  Customers were top notch and were appreciative of going to a family run business for that special personal  service rather than a chain like Party City.  Sadly the store has closed due to the Covid pandemic for good.  I met and worked with a friendly and diverse group of people.  I always enjoyed going to work there. 

My typical day began with checking emails and responding and calling customers, arranging orders according to deadlines and locations, receiving quotes from Canada Post. 
I learned how to work with EST Canada Post, and speaking to customers in a more Mature way providing as much information as possible. Id ship packages all over the world and contact customers regarding order, id also make sure the other team members were working responsibly

At the party store you must always circulate the floor asking customers if they need assistance or any products, Ive learned that as a retail worker when a customer is indecisive your own opinion may help. At times the customers may want to find staff on their own, so you must read into the situation.

It would get very busy during halloween season, so I would be under pressure doing costume running. I learned how to search for a product on computers, how to do parking, etc.. Workplace had one of the best co-workers, and work in general was really fun. Hardest part of job was working construction jobs. Most enjoyable was doing parking when it was super busy.

busy place during Halloween other then that I liked working at the party store, it was a fun job. when I worked at the amazing party store I was a costume runner I was responsible to get the costume for the customer in the back which I enjoyed there were times I did balloons to blow up balloons for the customer  and organize them that was my favorite

They lie through there teeth, they are super disrespectful and racist, so if you want to work in an environment where its dirty and unsanitary then be my guest.

Hardest part of the job is completing multiple balloon orders in time to get them delivered to their desired destinations, while new costumers come in line with their own new set of balloon orders.

Working at the amazing party store was fun and each day was a different adventure to bad they closed for good  I helped customers find costumes and other party supplies 

no interview, just a start date, trained on the job. Management is rude.
Good hours, youre given shifts only if you want to take them. No training before starting, like a 15 minute prep is what it really is.
