What is the best part of working at the company?
I have the opportunity to work within multiple schools that allow me to learn and share to other schools. I utilize the opportunity as free cross training. I appreciate the learning opportunities I have within my role

Not having the ability to case manage my own files

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is very supportive and flexible 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Seeing clients at different schools working on behaviours, attending school meetings, medical appointments with clients , and correspondence with medical professionals in response to treatments for client

A very good organization to work for. many opportunities available to those who would like to move up in the organization.
Everyone is accepting and welcoming and willing to assist if you need it. A typical day at work consists of  helping children stay on task and helping them with their work. Everyday is a learning experience because, you are working with someone different who  has different needs every time you get called to work. For me, the hardest part of the job would be leaving at the end of the day not knowing whether you would get to work with that child again. The best part would be meeting all the amazing children and getting to know them and what they like.

Horrible administrative management. Horrible system to find work, everyone starts as a casual employee and you have to pay money for an app to find work. Very rare to find temporary positions in schools and casuals can work for 3-5 years before finding permanent job placements at a school with an assigned student, when comfortable and content in your placement they will bump you out of it due to another EA wanting your spot, they will get it if they have more seniority. Their whole system is flawed. 

It's an early start of your day, which is great for me.
Picking up and return students of all age groups to school.
Learning the backgrounds of a diverse society is awesome.
Management is great to work with and very accommodating to do workers needs.
Co-workers work as a team and get along with each other.
Making sure traffic is obeying the lights on the bus when stopped to let students off to cross safely.
Seeing the kids faces first thing in the morning and last at night. Knowing they arrived safely to and from school.

Not worth it.  Management does not follow their own policies.  No performance reviews if you are doing poorly.

Don't like you.  Your done.  Did not find out about any problems until after when not hired again.

Teacher mentality.  Some teachers were great.  Majority were we are teachers and we know better then you.

Having to wake up early every morning check for a job.

By helping the teachers do their job, it also helps me gain more experiences about the age group that I am working with. This job helps me realize what I can and cannot do in my daily basis. My co-workers have a positive attitude towards me and other co-workers. The hardest part of the job is when I am assigned with a new student that I haven't met before and not know anything about, but at the end of the day, I get to know them better and I keep that knowledge for future references.

I worked seasonally for the school district while I attended high school and university. For the most part, I helped the custodians clean during the summer months and prepare the schools for the upcoming year. I also worked with the grounds crew. The tasks would vary from digging a ditch, paving, mowing or moving furniture. I really can't remember a hard part of the job. The coworkers and management were great.

love my job as an educational assistant!  It is fantastic to work among educators at the schools I go to.  I get along with the staff and parents of the students I work with. The focus of my day is working on the social skills of children with special needs, as well as their own self help skills. I assist the teachers with academic as well as behavioural situations in the classroom and on the playground.

As an EAL Mentor at ASDS School District, I had the privilege of working with international students, and I am thrilled to share my positive experiences during my time with the company. My journey as an EAL Mentor was exceptionally rewarding, thanks to the supportive and inclusive environment fostered by ASDS School District. 

You have flexibility it picking where and when you work. The staff are very supportive. The students are great to be around and keep you smiling. The pay and benefits are better than a lot of the places I have worked.
