Every day in Property Administration is a little different, which is very rewarding and provides many opportunities to learn.  Apex provides the support and care needed to achieve all of the property needs while achieving personal goals within the company.  The Management Team is very welcoming and available to help and support whenever needed, always going above and beyond to ensure I feel valued. The core values of Apex are envisioned and maintained at all levels, from the management teams, administrators and to the persons and families we take care of.   I would highly recommend Apex to anyone dedicated to the care and maintenance of housing and the individuals within, with potential to learn and advance while being personally supported, to consider an opportunity with Apex.  

I appreciated that the company allowed me to learn and grow. They supported me, even when I made mistakes. 

The biggest thing I appreciated was the culture to treat the tenants well. They deal with a tough clientele but treated everyone as if they were a person not a number. Sometimes this was hard  but I knew it was the right thing to do. 

The work is challenging and they do hold high standards but I can also say that it was focused on wanting to do the job well and supporting the tenants well. 

If you are looking for something that is more than a job but about making a difference in the lives of others, Apex provides that. I am thankful that they gave me a chance and I hope that I was able to impact many people's lives during my time there. 



At first when I was hired I was very excited to work for this company until I started. I was trained for less than a day the person who trained me couldn't even be bothered to even train me so she barely taught me anything and then I was left alone to fend for myself. I asked for support and got no support and then I got blamed for things that were not getting done because I didn't know how to do them. This company went through seven different people before I started and I know why. There are no benefits the pay is low for what they expect you to do for the job. It is mentally demanding and there's no help from the company itself for you to succeed. And then they tried to hold my paycheck from me telling me to go to the labor board

The Administrator role is absolutely draining. Break times  were rare. There was never enough time even after frequently being pushed into working much longer shifts than scheduled. Many times I was pushed into working 12 hour shifts with no pay incentive. If you're contracted to work 40-hour weeks, you only get paid 40 hours, even if you work overtime. You are "compensated" though lieu time.

Overall management is not great and the system is very flawed. 
You will rarely be appreciated for going above and beyond. 

Despite this and many more issues, I really did love my role and tasks. It will always have a special place in my heart.

Low pay, no benefits, insufficient training for the amount of responsibilities and expectations. 

When I started it was a much smaller company and much more focused on employee support and success. Once they expanded this year it's completely changed. 

Was promised a raise that was never given. Was promised and requested support for months and then got blamed for the problem when one part of the job could not be completed because no support ever came.

I would have recommended them a year ago but I now feel they have become focused on the bottom line and moral is extremely low.

This is a tough field to be in. It's not so much about whether the employer likes you but the board of directors and tenants like you. If they don't you wont' stay. Working in the non profit housing sector can involve working with some very challenging people. The CEO's were great. The management under them are very tough pleasers. Not always the most professional. The other difficult thing your coworkers that have been there for so long all know eachother personally which can make it hard to fit in.

I was employed for two months.  I was not trained properly or very much.  I was left to my own devices for the most part.  The Manager I worked with on a day to day basis complained daily.  Complained about her job, her duties, her pay and the people she worked with.  She was not a happy person at all.  These things made my job harder and not a very happy work place to be in.

A typical day is never the same as the day before.  I have learned so much about myself and grown as a person dealing with challenging personalities.  I enjoy my work at Apex Property Management & Consulting Inc.  The days fly by as you are busy.  Management is second to none!

This company is not a good place to work. Fired an employee after they asked him to take some time and get forms filled out for his mental health. Couldn’t make it to the doc in time. Then when he went to pick up his tools they refuse to give them to the employee. Don’t work here nothing but headaches and management is a joke.

Each day presents a new challenge and new opportunity to learn. You build many relationships with different people. Requires hard work but is rewarding. Company is constantly trying to find new ways to improve and to stay true to the core CARE values.
