Lots of different programs to be involved in. Unfortunately staff was quite cliquey so work environment was not ideal. Pay was very low, more than a dollar below minimum wage actually so beware of that. It’s unfair to be paid so little when you’re responsible for large groups of children. Pay goes up if you return apparently. Besides that great opportunity to get experience with kids if you need it, beautiful campus on the lake, free lunches are a plus.


I had so much fun and so did the campers who had signed up for my summer camp.

I had the pleasure of doing photos and videos for Appleby College for a few summers in a row mainly dealing with their ESL and Overnight programs. Great people, great work environment and getting to join them for the excursions was a delight. 

The hierarchy in this environment can be overwhelming. However, that had changed slightly over my time there. The engagement and expectations are intertwined with your status and role.

The location of college is very pretty. I am working in IT team. So far I am enjoying my work and culture at college. They are very advanced in technology as compare to other schools. Should experience working here once.

This is unironically the best job i’ve ever had. i felt so supported by my co-workers, made so many friends, gained so many good experiences, and so much more. this job honestly changed my life! if you get the chance to work here, DO IT!

Worked for appleby camps in the summer and pay was low especially for students. Although were perks were nice, food included, facilities beautiful. A good learning experience for young students. 

Super great experience working with Appleby college. The environment was always positive, and supervisors were very involved with checking in. Recommend for a fun summer job experience !

I was hired to cover a long term leave of absence for about 18 month. The school culture was very good and class size was small, with great teacher/student ratio.

Great hours and outdoor setting to work. Work monday through friday with a couple days of lawn maintenance and then the rest spent on up keep of gardens and paintings
