When I used to live in Vancouver I had 2 jobs. Arctic Pearl wanted me full-time but they were willing to work out a part-time arrangement with me because I have a great work ethic and strong skillset. Even when it was inconvenient for the company. I was able to keep both of my jobs and they gave me flexibility to continue my other job. When I moved to the East Coast the company was disappointed but understanding. They wanted me to stay but I was moving cities and they asked me to give advanced notice prior to leaving.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I enjoyed it no complaints, I am working with people with lots of experience in business and negotiating.

Small business in Richmond. The payroll checks cash out and work is pretty consistent. No big complaints. Company culture is fine - nothing too special but as long as your committed to work and show up on time, management trusts you to let me do my job in peace. Work in construction but owners gave me the option to stay full-time with the cold storage if I wanted to.

There is always a lot going on at the construction site with installation of electricity or plumbing or something else. So days are very busy and work is hard with all the construction going on. However the pay is good despite long, hard days. Main complaint is that with so many contractors during construction, we have disagreeing opinions and sometimes they get in the way of my work.

I am astonished to see this brand new storage and food processing facilities with the latest technology in place.  I would say this would be one of the largest family owned fish processing and cold storage in B.C. or even Canada.  Working here is really great with lots of opportunities to excel.

I’ve worked as a project manager for the company for over 4 years. The company is very flexible and has given me lots of runway to work independently. The job can be challenging at times, because there are many construction projects going on given the company is growing. I’ve found the salary to be very reasonable. There is no bureaucracy at this company. Easy access to the CEO

I had a wonderful experience at Arctic Pearl. The company culture is great, the learning opportunities were abundant and the family business is highly regarded throughout the west coast. Would definitely recommend working here! 

Management is very helpful and transparent with everything.  A fair amount of work given evenly to everyone.  Great benefits and also a safe friendly working environment.  Overall, great experience and enjoyable career.  

The company has great work environment. The management is very supportive in developing your career in the early state. It has good training and learning initiatives. Overall a nice company to work for.
