Courtesy and accuracy of information were expected of every employee when interacting with co-workers and the public. However, accuracy was not always easy to achieve. Clients would change the quantity and/or quality of lumber required for their particular application. At times, certain types of lumber were not available due to production problems and substitutions were made, provided the customer approved.

I learned about the different types and sizes of lumber available.

Management and co-workers were always willing to help when problems arose.

The most difficult part of the job was the daily preparation of invoices and making sure they were mailed out at the end of the day.

The most enjoyable part of the job was completing the goals I set for myself on a daily basis.

Pros:
- Pay was reasonable but not distributed fairly among co-workers.
- Room for growth if you knew the right people
- Reasonably flexible when it comes to personal time.
- Training was thorough enough to get started.

Cons:
- Hours are horrendous and unpaid on inventory days (quarterly, on weekends).
- Management pick favorites.
- The office has a locker room culture and if you speak up you're likely to get fired.
- Some people work hours off the clock to appease the owner who will otherwise verbally. abuse them for the entire office to hear.
- Very rumor filled environment that thrives on drama.
- Owner prioritizes their bottom line over the wellbeing of most of the employees.
- The sales team are against one another in competition which often causes a lot of drama.

Terrible management who will only listen to you when they need you to do something but will otherwise throw you under the bus. Terrible office culture - everyone needs to know your personal business and will try to find ways to fish information out of you for office gossip purposes. No use staying later to make sure things are completed because most people leave right at 5:00 which shows just how much people don't care to be there. Receptionist watches exactly what time you come in and leave to the second. Pay is never the same on each pay cheque even though you're salary. They deduct for every minute that you are late, even if you make up those minutes on your lunch or after hours.

they treat you like garbage and never supply gear for extreme weathers. product is not good and gets handled by other workers like trash. worst job to ever work. would make it better if the supervisors wernt rude and useless.

Ok management, yard guys are a disaster. Worst environment to work in.  Hated every single day! Trucks are garbage and the mechanic is so miserable. Point out any mechanical problems and the mechanic gets annoyed. STAY AWAY!!

I didn't mind the hard work and overtime hours that were required as part of working for the company. We worked rain or shine. The part of the job that I disliked the very most is the people I worked for. The management is horrible.

Organize and productive.
 Learn how to manage load strap and flatbed trailer.
Excellent management.
Diverse and friendly coworker.
Missing lunch time is the hardest part of the job.
Good pay and benefits.

I worked for a few months at this place. Management was poor. Flexibility was very restricted. There was very little to learn and no place to move up.
