They don't tell you about the overtime that is inevitable because of their poor planning and management. It doesn't matter if you have plans, the manager for the customer service reps doesn't know half of what you learn in 3 months, so they can't help or actually do management duties. 
You have to fend for yourself against toxic coworkers, angry customers, and angry truck drivers. Everyone is angry.
The awful toxic culture of the company is the worst part, if you slip up on someone's bad day you will be poorly talked about every moment you're out of earshot. There is little to no structure in the company. They beg you to stay due to work drama and overall unhappiness, but then let you go a couple weeks later once they've set up a fallback plan for themselves.


Argus was (for me) the best company I have ever worked in Canada (and I was at many other companies). The trucks were very clean. The trailers were in a pretty mint condition too. Very responsive mechanics, in case something went wrong. The job was easy (at least from my point of view). The manager was a great person. The dispatch was hard to understand, but I had no problems with him due to the nature of my job. The money weren't great, but at least the payment was by the hour and fairly counted. Unfortunately I had to live this job due to some family problems, otherwise I would keep it. The other drivers where very nice people too.

This company was definitely one of the best companies I have work for thus far. Great friendly save easy going staff . Always had everything organized for your delivery routes, easy paper work/ delivery dispatch system. Safely always a number one, well looked after trucks .

Liked the drivers didn't see all of them that much due to different shifts  sometimes dispatch difficult to work with, new owners, don't know how it is now, not safety oriented there excuse was it will cost to much to give you the equipment to safely do your job, was constantly asked to fudge  driving logs, I hope the new owners will respect there workers they bust there butts

This company is a good company but will not commit to workers needs. they fire people too easily and commit to workers who they like but who screw up...like every company, they have their favourite workers, but the rest are replaceable.

This company provides a lot of on-the-job training. What they can't provide directly, they have many resources for, whether they are personal contacts, websites or books.

Unsure how to review as there are new owners. All they care about is the bottom line. The old Argus was family run and there were definitely issues with nepotism.

No one knows about teamwork in that company. Everyone feels like they are entitled and act as managers. The office itself is a mess and moldy. Your health and mental being will suffer.

I was responsible for the loading and unloading of company trucks. Along with customer satisfaction. Everyone i worked with were great people and there were never any problems.

Argus is a great company to work for always provide any training that was need great pay if you are willing to work there was never a shortage of work at argus
