First impressions count, and it all starts with HR. I went for a Interview and encountered nothing short of rudeness, and I do not care attitude, by a HR woman. 

Found her to be deceptive, not forthcoming with answers to questions, and really vague on details of a position that I was interested in. 
A cranky and angry HR person is a dangerous  combination and reflection of the total management culture at this company.

Read the body language during the interview.
For example, when a Interviewer is sitting with their arms crossed, and posturing a slump in the chair, it is usually a sign of a do-not-care, and why are you wasting my time. 

When they are always busy on their cell, and not keeping track of the time, especially when you interview start time is overdue, it is a sign of an under laying attitude problem with the person.

At an Interview, you are suppose to feel welcomed and confident, not dis-respected.   

This company is only interested in fulfilling positions, that will cover the summer vacation season, and what ever else they can fill to keep their contracts.

Where I can see people are whinning because they get fired as lots of guards are lazy in our industry and I love working in their company. They have high complex contracts where you do anything from active surveillance in shopping mall, driving site cars to protect people and putting bylaws on the behalf clients. You can build lots of experience and enter into policing as compared to working in blackbird or any other traditional security companies and do retail stores assignment. I completed their 30 in-house courses, which trained me a lots 

The managment has the english skills of your basic newcomer without any english, they have no idea how employment law works in BC, and the dollorama management has ideas about your role incompatable with the rules you agree to with the Soliciter general for your liscense.  Sooner or later you would need to break the dollorama guidelines in order to keep your liscense.

Pay is attrocious expecially considering the amount of time you have to spend dealing with addicts.

Great employment process from the beginning. I was accepted to come into the office for an interview 30 minutes after applying. Interview was scheduled for the next day and lasted 20 minutes. Following this I was welcomed back into the office to collect my uniform for full time employment. 

I was stationed at a location full time by scheduling department. 

Overall the process was positive and I am looking forward to joining this organization.

If you are looking for security job as a career, I would recommend you this company but you have to work seriously in this company as they have high end sites where security plays important role. They pay higher than anyone else in the market. Their 24 hours field supervisor backup is really helpful.Great extended health medical, Gym benefits, Advance wages

They really care about your skills, abilities and hard work. I started with the security guard when I was in UBC and I promoted to A/C manager. I work from  0900 am to 0500 pm in their office. 

I was so new in business and I learned everything from them

Worked there for about 4 months and was laid off on a phone call spontaneously. They don’t back up their employees much neither care for their safety.
