Served as the Commander’s Driver, Assistant Team Leader, Convoy Leader, Javelin Certified, Combat Life Saver, Lightweight Laser Designator Rangefinder (LLDR) trained, and 249B machine gunner.


•Located and neutralized IEDs mines.
•Inspected field communications equipment for defects and reported same promptly to superior officers.
•Operated and maintained a variety of weapons equipment vehicles and systems.
•Cleaned and ensured storage of machine guns rifles anti-tank mines 
•Upheld basic military operations and safety protocols in all performed tasks

It takes a patriot and a well-balanced individual to become a National Guard Officer.  Unlike regular army we go through the same training but have civilian careers to maintain as well.  When we deploy our civilian lives have to be put on hold at a moments notice.

You can build a life around this job with guranteed progression with tenure and ranking. You have a chain of command you follow. You work both as an individual and as a team. And it crucial that you adapt working in both roles

The national guard is a great first job. Just don't join for the sign in bonus. If you're ready, sign up for the lowest commitment time and only for the career path that you see yourself in. If it is not available wait for it to be available.

National Guard can be a great way to serve while also completing requirements to become a full time active duty Chaplain.  If you are already involved in ministry, this can be a way to impact lives that you would not otherwise be able to influence.

have been in for 17years and have go valuable skills that you cant get in the civilian world. work in a fast pace environment and teaching subordinates how to do your job and gain experience.

It is very challenging and satisfying at the same time.
I learned exactly what i needed to know to accomplish the mission and come back home safely to my family.
