Array Marketing

Array Marketing is a company that will allow you to develop organizational skills and work under excruciating pressure. It will also allow you to learn the bases of how a Canadian Company works. However, I would not recommend anyone to stay in this company for a long time. If you have no previous work experience, then this is a good company to start. Nevertheless, as an engineering company, this organization is lacking a lot. They don't follow any industry standards, there are no proper records of previous projects, no provider catalogs, and no hardware library. For that and many more reasons, I will recommend anyone looking to develop a career as an engineer to look at this company as the gateway to the industry, but not as a viable option to stay for long.

Working at array was adventurous - but without understating the overall experience; working at Array was very challenging overall. Especially my role in the company was filled with short deadlines and strategic analysis to the next level. The department I managed was prototyping department; experienced with rush calls from the clients, project management team, and the production team alike. The projects varied in scale, but the volume of projects in progress always remained enormous. During summer of 2014, I managed about 150 projects at one stage. With all this hard work and 80 hrs a week on average; I was able to learn very important skills such as time management, team leadership, strategic management, MS Excel, tracking, inventory, project management, to name a few. My immediate management was very supportive and always kept us going, while the executive team lacked their involvement in dynamic leadership and feedback at lower levels of hierarchy.

PRO:  Cafeteria is fantastic.  Home cooked food daily by an amazing and friendly group of ladies, at subsidized pricing.  Cleaning staff also very friendly and respectful with a smile at all times.
PRO:  Global company.  If you get to deal directly with other locations you can learn a lot.
PRO:  People on the teams you work with are mostly great, and will help you when needed.  Everyone in the shop will smile and say hello to you at all times.

CON:  No leadership to pull all the great people and requirements together.  So many silos and lack of connection.  Company has forward thinking ideas but lacks clear direction and the right people in the right positions to conduct proper and respectful leadership to the teams.  The good Managers are gone, except a couple remaining.  The company has many great employees who want to do the right thing and make it work, but they're on islands with no one to pull it all together.  Not a lot of listening.

Poor management and terrible leadership. Some managers have no sufficient experience for their jobs. The system is very inefficient and processes are broken, there are many gaps in between. Everything is manual. You are expected to work 10-12 hours per day with no overtime pay. All  big chiefs never ever listen to their subordinate, but yelling at them if there are any delays. 
There is no much internal control, some managers do whatever they want they do not follow the company's policies.

A Manufacturing company  same repetitive work in my department but you will learn how to adopt and apply your Health and Safety training and education through the whole plant.The management give  what the workers deserve.The right to refuse unsafe work and benefits that  they need .It provide a health and  safety environment by upgrading,renovating and improving  the facilities.Provide the employee and workers with  all the benefit and training that they needed.

The projects are good, and some are really fun and creative. The work culture has suffered lately due to changing management styles that leave everyone feeling undervalued and overworked. 

The timelines are so tight lately that its very difficult to get everything done in a reasonable ammount of time. As a result, lots of extra hours are required, and no monetary compensation is offered.

I got hired here through a placement agency. I started the day after. I wasn’t given any training just job shadowed another senior  employee. I was in assembly and found the workers stressed but were willing to help. They push things so working there is fast paced.You will be spending the whole shift on your feet. When I say it’s hot working in the warehouse it causes fainting even if you replenish yourself with water breaks. This happened twice to me and I bnever went back. I will discourage all people from going there.
