I found a fair amount of the people that I worked with in this company either lazy, annoying or gossipy.  The work itself is continuous line work that can be physically demanding at times, its not to difficult, but its not easy either.  The pay is far to low for the demands in production that you are performing, this in turn creates more of a poor morale for the employees, a high turnover rate as well.  People that are frequently underperforming on their lines, which is often hard to do in general are not let go.  The good thing is there is room for advancement, you are recognized when you are showing a good attitude and work ethic but that does not translate to much more pay.  I was given the position of lead hand on a line after two months but was only given $13/hour for this position.  The management I found excellent, they were very aware of who works best with who and what lines are more fitting for certain people, if you can't cut it on a line your usually doing quality control of inventory, which is easier for the same pay.  The hours are fixed and you can choose a day shift or afternoon shift if that's available. It is bus route accessible.  I think overall the bottom line of this company would be slightly higher if employees received higher pay, more people would apply, asking more character questions during an interview then just be thrown a job right away creating less turn over and a better quality worker, saving more money and time for the company, and invest more time in proper training a better working morale would come of it.

Artisans is a pretty swell place to work. Ive been there over a year and still like it just as I did the first few months.

The beauty is if you work hard, and solve problems on your own, management recognizes your actions, as it reflects your review. 

I've already been put on two harder lines since Ive started, and now I run one of the most important jobs in the factory. 

The only thing I can really complain about is the wages, but who doesn't want more money?

All in all, Ive had a few factory jobs, and this one takes the cake!

Overworked, underpaid, with terrible hours. 11 hour shifts with only two 10 minute breaks...not even enough time to have a snack or sit down. Hazardous and dangerous workplace. Expectations and demands from employees for next to minimum wage was ridiculou, with no benefits or perks at all. employees there were all generally miserable, never met a single person that enjoyed working there. Other people i had talked to who did my same job for different employers made at least 5 dollars an hour more than i did.

At typical day for work at me is not typical.  My day changes from day to day depending on quality issues.  
I have learned alot of great things there but not as much as I want to learn. 
Some of the management is good some are not so good. 
As for coworkers again some are good and some are not good.  but that happens anywhere you work. 
The hardest part about my job somedays is having to be in three places at one time.  
The most enjoyable is i am constantly busy and the day goes fast.

If you want a nice, down to earth place to work, this is the place for you. The wages aren't high, but the work is far from difficult, and there's always places to get promoted if you do your job well. 

The management team is fantastic, and the product they send out is almost always good.

very demanding work. sometimes job stoppage due to machine malfunctions. looking for supervisor to override program to continue work, trying to complete jobs.

The most unfair pay for a painter I've ever seen dont let them fool you into thinking you can get better pay  they make you do other jobs you didn't apply for because everyone leaves  for sometimes for  weeks

You can't survive on the money thru pay if you have family

Washrooms and break room are so dirty & unhygienic if you work here your health is on big risk . Moreover management and other co workers are so rude to employees. I regret working here and I’m thankful I left .

The working environment is good.   Immediate Supervisor listened to my concerns and acted accordingly.
The air quality is difficult since you are working in a metal fabricating environment.

Filthy place poooor air quality ok management  good people but no one stays no bennifits or shift premium  unorganized ....  really low wages  not staying there long ... super hot
