I have worked for the company for many years and have had the opportunity to work in three different departments in progressing roles. The biggest benefit for me personally has been the support they have provided me with my post-secondary education, both financially as well as allowing me to have a flexible schedule. 

The company has been growing for a number of years, and will continue to grow, so another benefit is the opportunity for growth within the company. 

Manufacturing may not seem like a modern industry to work in, but it can be very rewarding when you work with great people and when the company supports continuous change. I love that I'm always learning something new every day and expanding my knowledge and skills. 

Because the company is a medium-size family business, employees are treated like humans, unlike some large corporations that treat their employees as just another number.

Associated Labels and Packaging (ALP) is a medium-size family owned business which has evolved substantially since its establishment back in 1980. I have been with ALP for about 5 years and have had the opportunity to work in different roles from an AP Clerk to a Business Analyst over the years. 

ALP has truly given me the platform to demonstrate and advance my skills and build a network of great people. In my opinion, the management team strongly supports professional development and continuous learning and is as committed to employees personal growth as they are to the company’s business results. They treat you with respect, regardless of your title, and are open to new ideas to help improve organizational and/or operational processes.


I have been in the printing and converting industry for 23 years and my 9 year journey at Associated has been excellent.  I started in the new flexible packaging division back in 2012 and have seen it grow every year. Very appreciative of management for giving me the opportunity to grow and advance within Associated team. They are big supporters of education and personal growth, always willing to help those who ask for it. Management is also reinvests heavily into new equipment so we are able to up to date on market trends and customer demands. 

The work is a fun and challenging. My role has allowed me to collaborate with many of the talented people who work here along side me. 

There is no opportunity for advancement here for people who deserve it instead they give it to people who are unqualified and the people who deserve it often get paid less for double 3x the amount of work while others get paid 4x more just by doing nothing all day. 
There is also a sense of unprofessionalism and full of unqualified staff who has no experience but get paid more than the people who has been there way longer. And also if you speak up about things that are not working, you get in trouble for it and they put a target on your back while you are still there.

Associated Labels is a company with a  dedicated vision to help grow and see their employees succeed in the workplace. They offer you the tools you need to grow and learn within the company. Passion and dedication for the work and their employees make them one of the best work environments I have worked for. Teamwork and enthusiastic co workers made this one of the easiest and most enjoyable companies to work with. The CEO is hard working and approachable, an open door policy makes it a breeze for you to feel comfortable and safe.

In my over 18 years work experience  at ALP, I can say that the company has room for growth. I started as clean up and moved my way up. It is a family owned company and they provide support, including concern and understanding when employees are struggling. Management avoids blame and give importance to the meaningfulness of work. We are all provided with opportunities for social interactions in the workplace which created a camaraderie among the team.

I've been in the printing industry for over 20 years and ALP is by far the best place I've worked at. I've been here for 3 years and I wouldn't work anywhere else. 
Their printing equipment, technology, quality, management and team, are top of the line, and everyone there is friendly and fun, and extremely welcoming. I've learned so much and I'm glad and proud to be an important part of the company. It feels like a family and that's what it really is.

The company is very family oriented. When you join the company you feel like family. They also recognize the importance of family and work balance. People are generally great to work with. It can get crazy busy with tight turn around times but that is the nature of the industry. It offers job security and advancement. Social activities also take place. They have a diverse workforce. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people. Team work is important. 

I feel that this is my second family because co-workers and managers are so great to work with.  The CEO is very friendly and often goes around each department to say "good morning" to his employees.  Many employees has being with this company for 20 plus years which shows its a great company to work for.  This company has being growing so much over the years.

I have been with ALP for 15 years and it is a fantastic company to work for.  Working here is both challenging, and rewarding. Challenging in a great way, we are fast growing and and innovative so there is always something new to learn, and rewarding in the sense that you work hard you play hard. Our Social Committee is always looking for fun events to plan and strengthen the team.
