The work itself is fun, Each day can be different, youre able to help people and make their day better. 

But, the "Managments" lack of ability to lead a team in any way shape or form makes it an incredibly frustrating, and mentally exhausting place to work. Youll be expected to be at the disposal of Astro for over 300hrs a month with no overtime, on call incentive, or compensation besides your base commission rate. The GM couldn't care less about the company or any of the staff, which he makes very clear the second you slightly disagree with him, his unofficial catch phrase is " if you dont like it, hand in your keys" or " its a Grey area". The turnover rate clearly reflects this. 

Very disappointing, Astro has the potential to be an incredible place to work. But, unfortunately the upper management team couldn't lead a starving man in the desert to water.  Which the owners seem to be content with. 

Long hours, commission wage so even though you will always work longer than 10 hours in a day you will never receive overtime.    You are expected to be at the ready and willing for astro at all times but will not receive a minimum call out, nor would you be paid for your 24 hour availability to the company.       The operations manager has only been towing a short time and got the position by his personal  relationships with management.    The ownership continue a to change .   You have no security and your wage will be at the hands of dispatch and their ability to follow the lineup.  You WILL be just another number.   Very high turnover rate for drivers, lack of respect for employees outside of the office and sheer ignorance of the industry by the operations manager will be evident from day 1.    The office manager is tyrannical and is severely unprofessional and often leaves her staff in tears      If you want to be degraded and have unreliable and feel under appreciated this is the best company for you

(Office work) If you approach this job with enthusiasm and transparency, and are open to learning new things, you will thrive and enjoy the work and the people who work there.  Management is supportive and accommodating, and give their employees every chance to succeed.  There are fast paced days and slow days, just like in most other jobs.  Worth working here.

Very long days, always learned new skills each day,management was efficient,co-workers were very pleasent to get along with,the hardest part of job was being on call for hours on end. The most enjoyable thing was seeing the smile on peoples faces when you helped them out.

The management when from amazing to sub-par when a few people got moved around and that made for a very stressful work environment, The schedule was amazing but the process to take a sick day should you be working was darn near impossible SO DO NOT GET SICK EVER.

Since starting at Astro I have found that this company really cares about its staff and integrity.  They treat every one from the drivers to the office staff well.

Owners are pretty good, good place to work.   They trained me from knowing nothing to having a job that pays well. Happy with them as most places want fully trained people.

Good office culture, good ownership, and good benefits.  Many different skills to learn and good for a person who likes to problem-solve daily.  Locally owned and pride of ownership shows.

Pay is commission so when the work is slow pay is not great and no overtime. Don't get payed for being on call and your on call lots and alway reqired to do the call no matter how long you have been out. 

Kind coworkers and bosses, they make you feel welcome and are open to answering any and all questions. Also quite flexible with changing schedules and other time off requirments
