I learned a lot about the QA process at Atimi Software. From reading the software requirements document you are expected to generate test cases in Jira that try and break the software. This encouraged you to think creatively on how to crash the software for the benefit of making it better. You were also expected to fully understand how the software will work, based on its requirements document, before the software was implemented, in order to write the test cases. This required extreme attention to detail and the ability to envision the software in your head as the app was not yet built, which is a scenario faced at many software companies.

However, this is not a place where you should expect recognition for a job well done. Rather, you will be fiercely reprimanded if you make a mistake. While I understand this enforces consistent and high quality QA, the work environment can be very unpleasant because of it. As well, the payroll was often quite late during my time there.

In the end, while this experience has made me a better QA Tester, I would not recommend working here.

Atimi is a great place to work on apps that millions of people actually use, and the technical challenge is definitely there.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
However, the execution often feels chaotic.There is a persistent gap between what the sales team promises and what the engineering team can realistically deliver, which leads to a constant 'crunch' culture.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
While I appreciated the remote flexibility, it often felt like a trade-off for being on-call at all hours to fix issues that could have been avoided with better planning.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It’s a solid spot to build a portfolio with big-name brands, but the lack of structure and predictable schedules makes it a difficult place to stay long-term.

My initial excitement at joining this company quickly turned into deep regret and shame. What was supposed to be a stepping stone to improve my work life swiftly transformed into a nightmarish ordeal, thanks to the inconsiderate manager who bulldozed over any hope of a positive experience. This manager seemed to take pleasure in degrading and belittling employees. Their behavior was nothing short of toxic, creating an environment of constant fear and anxiety. Instead of nurturing talent and fostering growth, they reveled in tearing people down.

Atimi Software is a great company for an office manager. It offers a supportive work environment, opportunities for growth, and a healthy work-life balance. While the role can be busy at times, the positive culture and efficient processes make it a rewarding place to work.

The demands from management were simply ridiculous! They acted as if they owned the employees, and disregarded their well-being in order to get what they wanted. The rude and disrespectful behavior managers show is just unacceptable, and very dehumanizing. It's already stressful enough just having to do our work, but having to deal with such horrible people is just insane!

The management had some ridiculous ideas about leadership. They thought hiring anyone and pushing them to do any job was okay. It was not, as it made employees feel stressed and exhausted. It also meant the employees had the worst work-life balance as they put in brutal hours. The training offered was also awful and not worth it. It's better to avoid that training and learn on your own. Beware!

Atimi has some very talented developers, but the management side of the house is a struggle. Projects often feel like they are in a state of controlled chaos because requirements change constantly without the timelines being adjusted. It’s hard to produce high-quality code when you are constantly pivoting to meet a new client whim that wasn't in the original scope.

There was an extreme lack of processes. The top management didn't care about it, leading to serious consequences like constant chaos. Despite the employees putting in long, brutal, and stressful hours, the clients didn't get the desired results. It was awful and meant poor client relationships. The management still didn't fix things but chose to avoid the issues. BEWARE! 

Management was incredibly hostile and cruel in their treatment towards employees. Their harsh words disheartens and demoralizes, and their aggressive behavior causes a lot of stress. They did not care about the wellbeing of employees, and always took advantage of their positions of power to harass them into working harder and push past their limits.

There is nothing pleasant left about working here. All what seems to be positively challenging at first quickly becomes the painful reality that shows you how disorganized the company is. Nobody seemed to know what to do. Managers are a joke, set ridiculous targets and they are not interested in helping train new staff. If you are an experienced & passionate professional, then I would strongly recommend you avoid this company at all costs.
