Great career growth experience. 
Company is very Regional, however wants to act Corporate. Regional approach is more suitable for this size and structure company.

Multiple conflicting Management priorities resulting in high Management turnover and internal conflicts Very challenging to advance many departments due to Regional and Management opinions.

Company growing rapidly with Corporate employees in strategic vision, although some hesitation to see investment in data collection with a company that has been successful for many years without. Corporate office overhead is climbing rapidly.

Culture is less than desirable. Antiquated Management philosophies continue to hamper a culture change. 

Compensation is reasonable.

Great company to grow your skillet by being challenged regularly with repetitive issues.

Work life balance is variable based on who manages the department.  Expectations of salary workers are often well outside reasonable workload.

- Tattle tale culture at head office. 
- Too many IT systems with no support
- Employees forced to work from new head office to justify unnecessary expense. Not a welcoming space, not close to many amenities.
- Preferential treatment of East coasters

Pros
- Regular Free lunches at head office 
- Engineers are very innovative and creative. Great engineering team.
- New bonus program
- Safety is priority.  Head of Safety is realistic and respected.
- Lots of support staff in many departments
- innovative into new product lines
- Fairly collaborative with exceptions of some departments who look o ly after themselves
- Some work at home flexibility depending on department and manager 


Was such a great place to work when I started a few years ago. How this company has declined in their management of people approach in a short time is mind blowing!

No consistency in approach,  playing with people's lives and livelihood for not the best pay. 
Latest craziness is to force us all back onto the office full time, after they just put out a polictly allowing hybrid 2 days a week. For a lower pay rate, they are certainly making me take my skillet elsewhere.

Delusional behavior continues today as they are rolling out an employee movement program to track where we are in the guise of health and safety. This didn't even come from health and safety, it came from human resources! Nice try management we see right through this! 

Good luck finding specialized people in the future when we all leave AIL!!

Amazing company to work for .  They have a great training program to get you prepared for the position you are in . Atlantic Industries promote within the company , they are caring and has the best interest in their employees as well as  they show support and help anyway they can .  The management are always there to give credit when you are doing a great job and to give pointers where improvement can be made . They believe in family  and at Atlantic Industries you are a part of their family . ATLANTIC industries has some new employees as well as some long standing employees and that shows that their employees have loyalty and growth . 

I have been with AIL - Atlantic Industries Ltd for the past 5 months. Great company to be part of. I have been welcome for everyone I met so far (from coast to coast). No doubt you learn a little bit every day that you go to work. People are respectful and have an open mind for my opinions. Top Management is always available to support and help me to suceed. I believe that opportunities to grow will naturally come with time. AIL is a very sofisticated Engineering Company, with lots of procedures, if you like to be challenged as a professional and keep developing yourself that is the Company you want to be. 

In my year with the company I have seen the following positions leave or change COO, HR head, VP, high level managers,now CFO is leaving and they promoted IT head to operations. They are all leaving for a reason.
Unfortunately the changes have made it a very unwelcoming company to work for where everyone looks out for themselves it's alot of personal agendas. New HR and operations are not the right choice for success. New COO is very good.As other people have said stay away it's not a great place and hope the kids get back and make big changes soon. New office is not a great place to work, so many agendas and personal priorities. Nice space, horrible culture 

Not a place I would recommend to anyone . Very unfair treatment of employees and shameful work practices  . Management is untrustworthy with zero integrity . Iv see too many hard working employees get treated very poorly at Algonquin bridge/ AIL Thorndale location . Welders and forklift drivers don't not waste your time here as I have , this place has nothing to offer anyone looking to get ahead in life  . Career and financial wise expectations will not be met working here for any length of time . You could not pay me enough to ever work here again .

New manufacturing management is destroying the company very rapidly. Fake promises, behind the scenes tattle tail going on. The plant workers know the promises and leadership is fake and now fearing for jobs. The company was great but we are going back 10 years to previous mentality of plant floor workers being bottom feeders. Very corporate now its unfortunate as I have loved my time with this company.  I wanted to retire here but I fear I won't under new management. I am just a number now. I wish the family would come back in the business 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Pay rate is high. $23.50 per hour is a lot for starters. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some workers are lazy. Because the job is easy and people are lenient with break times. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Company is welcoming however no one will teach you how to operate since almost most of them does not know how to run the machine.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Sometimes busy and sometimes easy work. Not a lot to expect on this work.

Lots of management turmoil. New bosses all the time. Most of them young and only care about themselves. HR works close with part of the management problem, might be part of the larger problem. Not very trusting.
Make sure your contract is detailed if you decide to work for them. Lots of bait & switch with hours of work, and no work from home. Currently making people come back and not respecting the new normal. 
Sales is favored, everyone else is treated like overhead. Never good enough, sad how the culture has become toxic in the last few years.
