Atlas Growers

Coming from a previous job in the cannabis industry I was reluctant if perhaps all places would be like the last. I am very happy to report that working with Atlas has been the complete opposite so far. 

This company is still quite small, which in the cannabis industry is amazing for multiple reasons, but I think the most positive with Atlas would be that everyone listens. You are heard and supported on every level. Even being able fo discuss thoughts and ideas with the CEO which is something you won’t find hardly anywhere else ever. There is clear communication and set tasks that are asked in a very relaxed and trusting manner. Which is a breath fresh air. Atlas trusts you to make the right decisions for the company, and let’s you navigate your business accordingly. I can promise this isn’t something I’ve found hardly anywhere else in my history of employment, and is a big motivator to do my best. 

I have some health issues and my monthly expenses are quite high. I have asked my last two employers if they could help with waiving probationary periods for coverage for me which was met with resounding and firm “ absolutely nots”. I am very thankful to say that wasn’t the case here, the company didn’t even bat an eye. If that isn’t caring for your employees, I don’t know what is. This is a place with lots of room to grow a fantastic brand. Things my not happen as quickly as you’d like, but I couldn’t imagine being more satisfied anywhere else. 

Unfortunately this was my dream job. But quickly became my least favorite job I've ever had. The company makes promises to people, especially those with a lot of experience or relavent education, that Atlas is going to do all these great things for them if they join. This includes promotions, running sections, increase in wages, benifits etc. These people drop everything and put everything they have into Atlas, with nothing in return. None of these promises are followed through, and the employee is essentially"stuck" and used. 

The management has zero experience managing people. The master grower has never supervised one person, yet now is running the show. The lack of management skills and organization shows. 

Bullying, gossip and cliques divide all of the employees, and when brought up to management, nothing is done and it is actually supported because management is too afraid to confront any of their employees. 

Save yourself some gas, time, headaches and extreme stress and stay away from this place. The wage is so low many employees have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. Not with the stress.

I have been with Atlas for over 12 months and was employee number 15. Throughout my time here, I've seen this company more than triple in size.
I also have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest and hardworking minds in the city. The workplace culture can be fast paced and demanding but also extremely rewarding. Management does a great job rewarding those who work hard and is fair with those that do not. Its company is a meritocracy where the best ideas win. 

Being at a startup, I've experienced tremendous highs as well as the lows. It really can be a roller coaster and I encourage anyone who joins the Atlas team to be prepared to learn and grow. I have had the opportunity to work on many exciting projects outside the scope of my day to day job that I would not be able to get anywhere else. Being at Atlas fast tracked my work experience and career.

I've worked for Atlas' sales department for about half a year now and It has been the best time of my professional career as well as life in general. Atlas has, and continues to make space in this new industry for people who are truly passionate about the plant and community. 

Is it a rollercoaster of an industry to be a part of? Definitely, but with Atlas, you know you can put your trust into the entire team. We are all here for the same reason, to bring the highest quality product to the Medical and Rec market. And that's what we do. 
Weather you look into our growing practices, genetics used, extensive pheno hunting, in-house analytics. Its hard not to see the passion and dedication that the entire company strives for. 
If you are in the Cannabis industry because of passion and quality it will be impossible to find a better team and facility. 

No one knows what’s going on or how to run the place or maybe they don’t care...? Management spends more time in the boardroom than being in the back actually knowing what’s going on for themselves. The majority of management team is built of a bunch of stoners that lucked out by being friends with the CEO so they are passionate about the cannabis but  clueless of how to successfully grow consistent solid, pest free, lack of rot product. Master grower doesn’t know what’s going on most of the time. His sidekick isn’t any better, not sure what his purpose is. The lady that seems to be the operations of the back has a under minding scene to her so forget about having your own opinion if it’s not hers. If you know how to kiss behind, you’ll get along with her just fine! 

I’m surprised the place is still “running.” 
Don’t waste your time or gas for the commute.

I had worked at this company for over a year and the company was more than willing to teach there staff about how operations of the company work. Management when i first started was not the greatest, but with time people had moved on to other places in the company or removed from there position. I was able to move up in the company from being a post harvest associate to a lab technician where I was taught about cannabis processing. For company picnics there was also giveaways and prize packages so that was also a plus !

If you are a hard worker, care about your job performance, take pride in a job well done and take pride in helping your coworkers in a job well done; being kind, considerate of others and carry your self in a professional manner. This company is for you. 
 HR is awesome. Management cares about staff and is accommodating to your personal time you may need. The monthly lunches are fantastic and it always feels as though owners care about us.
We can play music as we work and have a blast with some songs played dancing and singing along..... lots of laughs and great times.

They were very disorganized and the drive out to the facility was always bad. Upper management all knew each other before starting and don’t know how to do their jobs. HR plays favourites and makes up his mind before he’s heard both sides of a story. Their were multiple lay offs and then position title changes to work around the lay offs. Workers were forced to take government subsidies and stay home during covid. 

Atlas is an awesome company with fair pay and good hours. The only reason I left....because I didn't feel I could adequately do the job in the new position  I was transfered. If you get a chance to work here take it. 

I’ve been at Atlas for over a year now and can’t describe how much I love my job. The people are awesome and love to work hard while still having some fun. Reggae plays while we take care of plants, and the plants are beautiful, I’ve worked at a few grows and these are the best I’ve ever seen.  Management is chill but knows what needs to get done and does hold you accountable.  Great Job Overall!
