What is the best part of working at the company?
If you're a smoker, and lazy this job is great for you.
Every single thing about this company was terrible. I would give a rating of -5 stars if I could 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything. Lack of communication, useless co-workers, no room to move up or get paid a decent living wage. Manager is passive aggressive and does nothing to fix the problems. Everyone gossips about everyone amd everything yet nothing gets done. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic. Everyone gossips, nobody does anything. If you actually do your job you get delegated more work, and other peoples work for zero praise or raise. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Boring and stressful. No proper infrastructure to support that much staff. People are constantly getting sent home for lack of business

Running the wholesale desk required quick and accurate information to the customer. Worked with automotive shops. Directed delivery drivers to get needed merchandise to customer efficiently. Order and confirm delivery of items that we didn't stock but were able to supply

Days were very busy and long. As assistant manager I worked 3 days that were 12 hours and  1 day that was 10 hours. Most of the staff was very inexperienced and without any knowledge about automotive industry. Day was spent teaching them and supporting them while fulfilling management requirements. Very stressful. Some staff members were unreliable and would not come to work their scheduled shifts. Upper management was aware but would not deal with this problem. There were more days that we did not have a full staff than days that we did.

So there are days or certain times of the year that it would get very busy. Most of the time it wasn't. If the boss was in and didn't see you doing something you would get in trouble, even talking to your co workers when no customer in the store. The location had no music.  Some locations had a very toxic management who would be little you if you needed help. Best thing was the people who you got to work with everyone was very pleasant. Sometimes management was very engaging if you had a very difficult customer. There was people that you could always go to and ask questions if they had more experience in certain areas. Though I can't just completely drop on management they were very understanding if you have stuff going on at home.

Overall not a bad place to work (Forest Lawn location) Management was okay, but did have high expectation for capable staff while those less capable were allowed to do as they pleased. Pay was minimal but they do offer a possible apprenticeship if you stay on. Stay long enough and you will likely be in middle management or running a store. The down side is really that they will hire whoever comes in the door so you will have coworker problems. The advantage to this is it's easy to stand out if you are good at your job and you can ask to work pretty well whenever you want if you are good enough. I learned alot about marketing with the asst manager that I worked with (no longer there). I suppose if you don't have many options and you are willing to put in the time you could move up and do alright.

Very relaxed workplace, when larger rushes do come there’s always assistance from the managers. Workplace culture is excellent, if you have a passion towards cars it’s easy to get along with coworkers. Most difficult part of the job is navigating through parts catalogs for trickier vehicles such as imported cars, heavy duty machinery, or any vehicles that have engine swaps. It does make for a fun challenge though!

Arriving everyday and getting behind the parts counter with smile and ready to sell parts. I learned much about the customer service aspect, patience and negotiation tactics. The hardest part about the job is dealing with customers who struggle or do not know specifically what they are looking for. Its no longer a serious issue for me and have gotten good at it with the skills and classes I took within the company. Most enjoyable part of the job was helping people when they are serious need of it.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Local, family owned company where you’re a person not a number.    The owner knows your name, in house training to stay current in the field.   Education opportunities.   It’s fun.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Constant ringing of the phones 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Awesome.   It’s fun.   If you’re not having fun at work, you’re doing it wrong.

I have worked for the company for 3 years and in this time I have learned a lot, the training I have received has been incredible. I was sponsored for the apprenticeship program  and they even trained me for management. The team at the Forest Lawn location is awesome, management has been very supportive and reliable. I recommend to anyone wanting to get started in parts to work here!

They will toss you to the curb in a second if you do something to annoy them. No write ups, no complaints, but when you do something management doesn’t like they will throw you out   Like yesterday’s trash,  Even though management would probably be guilty of the same stuff, but they only question you. Goes all the way to the top.

If you like standing for 10 or 12 hours a day with no allowed sitting, this job is for you. Not only do they ignore issues because management is one big clique that confers with one another all day, they'll shirk their duties off on you while being paid the large salary to do less than their assistant managers on a daily basis.
