They have very biased ways that management gives out promotions even if you are qualified and have more experience they overlook that and promote who they like. Same goes for discipline they overlook the ones that should get it and give it to the ones they chose. As for wage increase they aren't that bad except after 2 years you are topped out and don't receive anymore raises even if you have more training for other positions. If you do get promoted you only receive that wage if you do the job for 8 hours, you do not get that wage if you only do it for less than 8 hours.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Poor. Wage is terrible, they don’t care if you’re trained and have a ticket, as long as they can put the  blame on you 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Walk in, have no direction, find something to do, wait for constant breakdowns

repetitive work, poor training  , dirty, if you start been operator you keep in the same position no opportunities or training in high position , operator meeting are very fast only to listen, management meeting 2 or 3 daily more that 30min each, parking lot is a nightmare lots of holes destroy cars, only 1 area have all the attention of management, some people are very friendly and help you

Autotube was a good place to work. I worked 5 days a week, I knew what I needed to do and to get done. I learned a bit of shipping and receiving as well as the function of the product that was made there. I worked with good people while I worked there. The hardest part of the job was when I was filling in for the shipper I still needed take material out to the flood which spread me a bit thin at times. I enjoyed being busy at all times never a dull moment!

It's a fast paced job for sure depending on where you get put, some people get the easiest jobs while others are expected to work there butt off. Very repetitive. The job it self is pretty easy once you get the hang of it but alot of pressure to constantly work faster and faster. No advancement in the company unless maybe you get lucky and no raise in pay unless government raises minimum wage.

Minds get changed way to often. The amount of work given to 1 person is sometimes a 2 or 3 person job. The pay is a joke.  I find it is a job where it all depends on who you are and who you know. People getting fired for stupid reasons like if your supervisor doesn't like you they will find a way to get rid of you. They hire way too many people which takes jobs from others. People are asked way to often to volunteer to stay home.

Automotive parts manufacturing is typically hard to stay consistent.. 
Orders fluctuate weekly .. leading to layoffs . 
No fault of the company itself. Mostly just the state of our economy at this present time.
My Supervisors were excellent leaders, and just overall good people to work with.
Found them to be easy to talk to, and very fair to all workers in their departments. 


Troubleshooting breakdowns in the machines and repairing and making new parts (if needed) to get machines running again.  Worked as part of a team.  Most enjoyable part of job was seeing the success of hard work done with machines running again.

Everyone is so miserable.  Hard to get along with people there at Autotube! 
2 shifts,  7am 3:30 pm
Afternoons 3:30pm-2am
