What is the best part of working at the company?
We work in a flexible environment full of people passionate about what they do, who they engage with, and how they collaborate toward a common goal. Seeing talented people across all practices interacting with each other for personal, team, and company growth on a large company such as Avanade is inspiring.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
For some people is being on the bench sometimes but all of that is manageable based on how people manage internal training, and personal growth and engage with other initiatives such as volunteering and giving back to others serving people on different occasions.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Light and always encouraging employees to care about themselves, their family as we all engage with out customers in different initiatives that are transforming business.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
9 - 5 with project meetings, working meetings, daily stand-ups and internal team interactions in different aspects of what we do as a company that breaths technology.

Honestly this company is a joke. The interview is easy, and they will probably offer anyone a job, but that's because they will let you go in a minute. So, if you have a full-time permanent job, please do not leave it for this company. All their job is project based, and they rarely have enough project, so they are constantly hiring and letting people go, like it means nothing to them. And yes, they will lie to you and say, if there's no project you can "go on the bench and learn" that's BS, once you go on the bench, you are as good as out the door. And even if you do get another project, you must interview for the project with every other person on the bench, these projects have no clear guideline on its requirements. So, most of the time, projects are not assigned based on skills, but based on friendship. Their management clearly have no clue what they are doing and constantly mismanaged their budget. If you want a job that offers zero job security and where you will constantly be interviewing for your position, then be my guest. Trying to save you a lot of time and grief. I can't believe I left a very good secured job for this joke of a company. Lesson well learnt.

Avanade has been a good employer to support my consulting endeavors. 
Pros so far:
1. The onboarding was been comprehensive and they equally prioritized the client's needs and my fit in that role. 
2. The pay is competitive and the perks are good. Overall, it depends on your client too heavily but in case you don't end up getting the growth from the client's side in your role - Avanade usually has your back to support you. 
Advice:
1. Please make sure you understand the Avanade workflows like recording Time and Expenses, how to request stuff etc. before getting on the client's side coz those are overwhelming amount of processes. 
Cons so far:
1. Limited leadership and every person has been assigned a career advisor could only guide you from a very high standpoint.
2. Technical growth is totally in your hands. So, if you're not a motivated person, it might be difficult to find a way.


Avanade is a great place for a new graduate to work. You will work on very intense projects, with tight deadlines, and work with some of the most talented people in the industry.

You will also have access to a plethora of training modules, certifications to improve your technical, functional and soft skills.

Lots of talent here. generally good people and a wonderfully multicultured work environment.

Be prepared to work a lot of unpaid hours in poor physical work conditions and spend your spare time studying. If you want anything resembling work-life balance, this is not a good place to work.
As a consultant you will be struggling with unrealistic expectations set by the sales people. This company cares about one thing only, the bottom line!

The leading provider of innovative digital services, business solutions, and design-led experiences, delivered through the power of people and the Microsoft ecosystem. Good place to work with flexible hours. Decent amount of red tape and politics, but this is expected of a big company.

Avanade offers rich cultural and high-tech environment. It stood one step ahead of other organizations in terms of technology and number of overall certifications. It is purely a customer focused compnay. During my tenure in Avanade I gained MCSD certification as well as consulting skills.

Strong Microsoft partner with a good track record of successful implementations. Good delivery resources.  Executive team is not diverse and not open to new processes or sales methodology changes.

Good Work life balance. Pays well. Not enough projects. Typical Consulting environment. Little experience people act as if they are experts without any practical experience. Tied to Accenture. Bad resource utilization. Although very accommodating.
