Not your average security position. Very attractive and luxurious on the outside! Very demanding and competitive on the inside!

Was ecstatic to join the team as a new hire, was re assured I would be valued. Was told I was recruited at a interstellar period in time for the company. I Felt otherwise during Covid-19.

I needed this! This job is active and high performance! Your average security guard is posted. Multiply that by 100 (more or less) at Avante! This job is a challenge and requires a lot of responsibility!

Lots of pressure and deadlines, quotas to be met. Even more tense amongst some sort of political health pandemic. Nevertheless, purpose and kept busy! 

Lots of setbacks from Covid-19. Job considerably more dangerous and restrictions in place. Vague instruction for detail at times, procedure didn't seem consistent at times.

Did not get introduced to the company appropriately. Got thrown into the field with basic training, had to learn 100% along the way. No formal introductions. Some training was missed. My evaluations went forgotten. 

Great title and role to play in the community. From my perspective and dealings in the field, their technology could be better. Should value and respect their frontline more, they are the crown jewel of their package(s) for clientele. 

Nonetheless scary encounters without warning such as vicious guard dogs(that will hurt you) of clients(who have been described unfairly) from management(who talks a lot of trash) exploiting the clients paranoia and needs for safety and security at times. A lot at stake. Not an easy job. Do not join if you are a wimp. 

The management put way too much pressure on employees for their understaffing and high turn-over, book offs, etc. 

Clients can be very demanding and hard to work with at times. Avante needs to be more explicit and comprehensive with their service(s). Clients   can be unaware of company policy or basic laws because they are so rich!

Very close work and reliance of the Police for assistance. Proven at times to be dependable considering how prestigious the service and environments. 

Third Party Alarms dangerous, even less information on and from client for their needs and requirements. Confusing at times, especially having external client and alarm, lots of collaborating needed for success. 

Management needs to take more accountability. Amazing team overall, with extensive experience in security. 

The dream of being of an Avante Lifer isnt as strong when I first joined. Would like to see more training and safety measures in place for ESOs.
I understand that the client is the main outmost priority. but if you do not take care of your frontline, who is going to take care of the client.

At one point in my life, I lived in the neighborhood I work in currently. I wish they would follow up with me in regard to an interaction approximately, year 2015. They have proven to be aggressive in nature.

Challenging period of time we live in none the less. I want the best success for Avante and its employees, including myself. 

I see a very unique Security Firm  like no other, for real.

I had the privilege of working at Avante Security, and I must say it's not your typical security company. At Avante, you're not just another body; you're treated as a valued employee. The company offers excellent medical benefits that outshine the competition.

One of the perks of the job is getting to drive nice cars, which certainly adds excitement to the role. The 12-hour shifts involve a lot of physical activity, making it almost like getting paid for cardio exercises - perfect for those who want to stay fit.

The employees and higher-ups are highly respectful, but it's equally important to respect them in return. Avante offers a fantastic starting pay compared to other security companies, and overtime shifts are often available, allowing you to earn time and a half.

What's more, you get a generous number of paid sick days and vacation days, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Overall, my experience with Avante Security was enjoyable. It's a well-renowned and recognized company in Toronto, known among fire departments and the Toronto Police Service, which adds to its credibility and reputation. If you're looking for a security job with great benefits and a respectful work environment, Avante Security is the place to be.

Avante security is a professional, private security company that I have been with for coming up on 6 years. Like with many companies, there's good days and bad days. What makes Avante stand out from any security company in Toronto though, is the fact that they take pride in caring for their employees. Our management is super easy to reach out to with any problem, and value our opinions. Anything I have to pay for is reimbursed by them (even my security license!) The worst part of this job can be the static shifts of sitting and waiting for something to happen, which usually doesn't. They offer use of force training, and first aid as well. I have a great team behind me, that work in unison which makes for easier shifts. Doing close protection transports also makes you see the other side of security. Avante has continually been an eye opening experience for me.

Management was very two faced and was an old boy's club culture.  You were sent to sites with no information and if you did not have all the necessary equipment because you were not given the proper information, somehow this was YOUR fault. Employee safety was not a priority for them either and they would tell you it was a priority but then throw you under the bus right after. They would put you in the on call rotation a day before without consideration that plans had already been made and thay had ample time to make arrangements but wait to the last second and ruin someone's holiday because of their poor planning. 

I have been working for Avante for just under a year.  The company has undergone a lot of changes with mergers/acquisitions/new management but is focused and determined to do everything possible to be accountable to all stakeholders.  

It is not an easy place to work as the work is tough and time-sensitive, but when your clients demand instant service and security, employees must be extremely knowledgeable and prepared at all times.

Avante for me has been the place where I can apply all the knowledge that I was given in my police foundations diploma. It's a very exciting and interesting all the things I have done in this company.  There's always something different to work on and there's no monotony.
I get to drive very nice cars, something that I never expected to do.
In short I love this company because the people makes the company awesome.

-understaffed, so they can call you to pick up extra shifts

If your a lazy person who likes to sit in a car and do nothing then this isn't the company for you. Hasn't been a year and I've moved up once and can do it again. People who complain about long hours have never done mobile work before because all companies require 12 hrs from you. Best company hands down from all I've been in for the last 10yrs in the industry.
