B-Line Tire & Auto Supply

Based on my experience working here at B-Line Auto, I can tell you that it was very disheartening, and not very encouraging or positive. As a employee I thought working at 8AM means you are already on the floor doing work related tasks. Everyone has tardiness. There is no room for advancement.
You are expected to carry boxes up and down narrow stairs including pails. Stand on sketchy wood planks or metal steel sheets that are held together by metal twist ties some spots have holes which catch your boots. 
The entire family works there in almost every position; standing in the warehouse on the phone for 2-3 hours several times during the day talking about non-work related things among the many many things they do there that is questionable haha.  
You pick orders, or stand around like everyone else. I would go organize when I had nothing to do (lets be honest the warehouse is SMALL/MESSY/UNSAFE) and be questioned what I am doing by the family. You are also expected to stay for the last pickup of the day, sometimes later then 5pm and I have tracked for 4 days of overtime in a week; 60 mins which wont be paid which is Wage Theft! 
The hardest part of the job is the disorganization, let me explain further - the family praises about the organization that has been done; Isle Numbers and Bin Locations which do not exist, none of the product is truly in its location and bin location with proper labels and no one cares to organize it. Warehouse does not have ability to do anything warehouse related other then picking and arranging pickup after its approved by upper. You are also expected to get your own  benefits as they do not have any! 

B-line is a great place to work if you are related to the owner.  Family will always come first, even if they are not the most adept in the products or tasks at hand.  Raises and promotions are things that happen rarely, even after a good year-end review from management. 

There is no formal training on most of the equipment, despite multiple articles and even a line on the website stating that "B-Line offers the most up to date training."  This is an outright lie.  The owner has been quoted as saying "When we sell a product, we do
our best to stand behind it," however there were sales of off-brand machines and when they need repairing, the customer was basically shrugged off or told 'it's an off-brand machine and we can't get parts.'

Also be wary of advertised wages on job postings.  It's like they post an attractive wage only to bait and switch you.  After getting good feedback in my interview I was offered an hourly wage well below the posted range.  That should have been a massive red flag and in hindsight I should have never followed up.

Great business hours Monday to Friday allow me to spend evenings and weekends with my family. Lots of flexibility if need to leave a bit early, I can just come in a bit early or stay a bit late to get my work done.
I have learned a lot about a unique business that a lot of people don't even realize exists. Business to Business wholesale sales is way better than retail.
The owners are good, management is pretty lax, probably not a place to work if you need a pat on the back every day for doing your job. Because they are growing a lot there is room for advancement and more responsibility.
Some seasonality means its a bit crazy in October-November and a bit quiet in January-February. 
Overall a pretty good team, lots of good people and a direct line of communication to the owners. If you have a work ethic and want to do a good job you'll get rewarded.


You are expected to go up and down stairs all day carrying boxes that weigh sometimes over 50lb like pails. The warehouse is a complete mess. The people are great although I was given paperwork to pick and order and later found out through another person that I was picking backorder sheet so whoever gave me the paperwork was just making me run around - that made me feel stupid. You are only a cog in the machine and any extra organization you do will be basically be unorganized the next day from others. There is a second floor that's only being held together by metal twisties at some parts and unsafe work is often done here. 

Compared to any other place I’ve worked, B-Line is for sure the best. The managers are always available to hear me out, and they actually care about you as a person which is kinda rare. I’ve been here a while now and it’s really cool to see how much they’ve grown and I feel like I actually helped with that. I can do my thing without someone looking over my shoulder all the time, and they’re pretty easygoing as long as you get stuff done. I can actually see the results of my work and feel appreciated for it. I definitely recommend B-Line if you’re self-motivated and want to feel valued.

I've been working here for almost 4 years and have nothing but good things to say. Incredibly supportive management team that wants to see their guys grow. No sales targets or commison caps which means there's almost zero micromanagement. This means if you work hard you will be rewarded and also that in slow season you don't have to worry about a boss breathing down your neck.

The whole team has a great morale and when your working with different departments like shipping or equipment it's great that everyone feels like their on the same team.

Currently in my 12th year with B-Line, I've been able to grow into a few different positions and take on more responsibility as the company has grown a lot. The culture is good for people that don't need micromanaging, there is a lot of freedom to make decisions and take care of customers. 
They have experienced some growing pains but seem to be committed to improving and bringing on the right people. I think the owners are great, they have always been more than fair with me.

Couldn't ask for a better team to work for/with. Laid back atmosphere and everyone pitches in where necessary. After taking on MANY interviews within a few weeks, I knew I had found something special at B-Line and was crossing my fingers for that call back, which happened immediately! I've seen some reviews that mention if you aren't family you're disposable, which I haven't found to be the case. I'm not family but from the minute I started I was treated like I was. 

Great place to work with excellent people that will push you to be your best. 

B-Line operates in a fairly specialized industry that at first was daunting because it was new to me, but it was surprisingly enjoyable to learn and is very interesting. There are lot's of opportunities for people willing to learn new things. Culture is very autonomous, but also team orientated which is nice. Love getting up and going to work every morning.

Honestly, I don’t know what I can say as I have nothing bad to say about this job whatsoever whether it be on the warehouse side, the Sales side ,service or delivery. Everyone is very welcoming and you would have a great time working here.
