I really liked the people I worked with at Honda, and a typical day at work was fun and pretty darn easy. The management, while confusing due to the abundance of superiors you have to report to at a time (sales manager, controller, administrator, service manager, assistant managers, etc) and the contradictory instructions you can receive from them. At times they would even argue amongst each other while you stood there waiting for your instructions. Additionally, it wasn't very well organised and many promised opportunities were simply put on the back burner for one reason or another. The long hours put in were also a nightmare.

Over worked, underpaid, under appreciated. Management only cares about money coming in but not paying the employees a competitive wage. "High volume" dealer, so they expect you to run your a** off for the lowest pay of all the dealer groups in barrie. Management see all employees as expendable and replaceable...just a number and that's how you're treated. "You guys really did fantastic this month/year..but we can't afford to give raises to anyone, even though we raised the door rate twice in the last 9 months. Instead, enjoy a once a year BBQ in the parking lot.". Leaky roof, no heat, parts department in shambles...the list goes on. They reward stupidity. The more you know, the less you make. 

A typical day at work includes good company and great service. It is a happy environment which is shared with our customers. We learn new skills and ways to deal with new situations every day. We reflect and adjust to improve our company from day to day. The hardest part of the job is being stuck behind a desk as I love to move around and interact with new people. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing customers happy with their new products and thankful for your help and support.

I worked with alot of nice people at Barrie Honda.  However upper management is awful,  you will not be treated with respect or appreciation.  The wages are far below what one should get for the work load. You can make the same wage flipping burgers or pouring coffee.

Was originally hired as front line receptionist, was let go because of cutbacks, even though someone that they kept was hired after me.  Was called back to work in the Service Department.

I really enjoyed the shuttle position I had but the wage was not enough for the work I did. I didn't get a raise or review for six years. That is the reason I left Barrie Honda. I really enjoyed working with my co-workers.

Overall good place to start your automotive career and chances to further your career as well 

Co workers are good, fast work pace and energy. Have to like being active and motivated 

Underpaid, bad hours, horrible company to work. Honda itself is a great company, but Alpha Auto group that owns it is horrible.company. Do not care about staff whatsoever

Great place to work if you are new to the car business. Great product to sell very reliable. Great place to get your feet wet in sales . Commisions are good and have the potential to make money if you are good at sales 

Decent place. Training on site and at corporate. Management isn’t great. People are good to work with. Pay is okay, staff doesn’t get paid what they are worth. Not much else to say.
