I began working at BCBG in November of 2011. On my first day there, I never would have guessed that I would have learned so much independence and problem solving from working at a retail store. However, day by day, BCBG has taught me how to work effectively in a fast paced environment, and how to manage my time efficiently throughout the day. The first couple of months working there were quite challenging due to the fact that I was not well adapted to the retail environment, and so I faced trouble with trying to meet my hourly sales goals which affected the total I made in commission. However, with the help of my friendly coworkers and determined managers, I was well trained to reach my goals and have now been on the list of top 3 sellers Month To Date for the past two years. Besides making sales, BCBG has taught me how to receive and ship out stock, carry out Loss Prevention tactics, and perform monthly inventory successfully.


Although I have grown to love working at BCBG throughout my years there, I have recently discovered that it not a stable working environment and there is no likely chance of moving forward with the company. If you begin as a sales associate, you will most probably still be a sales associate making the same amount of pay five years from then. Upon realizing this, I decided I could no longer continue working in a place with no future career for myself. 
That is why as I search for a new job now, it is critical that I find one that will give me more opportunities in the future. I have no interest in working for a company for a short period of time. If I am hired for a good company, there is a good chance I will dedicate years of my hard work to that company.

•	Support the store manager with the coordination and execution of daily store operations.
•	Supervise the daily activities of sales staff in the absence of the manager or as delegated by the manager. 
•	Engage in promoting and selling products to ensure customer satisfaction. 
•	Perform managerial functions such as opening/closing, receiving inventory, as well as preparing and making deposits as needed.
•	Partner with store manager to maximize sales and build high performing teams.
•	Responsible for maintaining and updating window and in-store presentation of the store as per BCBG’s seasonal visual standards. This includes planning, mapping and executing monthly “floor-sets.”
•	Actively participate in-store related meetings, training sessions and store visits. Responsible for participating in monthly conference calls with upper management, as well. 
•	Provide ongoing written feedback to Regional Manager on business strengths and opportunities.

The days really varied, some say you would be swamped with customers others it would be calm and quiet. Cleanliness was of utmost importance to keep up the BCBG image. They taught me how to really sell and how to handle rejection. Not everything you recommend will sell and not everything the customer will like. Most of the girls are friendly. As with any company you do get the odd rude ones but for the time i worked for the company I don't remember meeting any.The. Hardest part of the job was making sales and understanding that everyone is different; not only in style but in fir, not everything will fit the same. As a newbie, that was were i struggled, towards the end my sales were great and I could put together outfits for almost anybody type. The most enjoyable part was the employees and associates. We have a really great team at the location I worked at and they really made working alot more fun.

Working and BCBG was an amazing experience to me. I had the opportunity to manage a staff of 4-6 girls daily. I learned a lot of new things working here, such as receiving and shipping out stock, carrying out Loss Prevention tactics, and performing monthly inventory successfully. 

The management and staff were great. I was very pleased to learn from and work with them for a year; very strict but awesome. 

The hardest part of the job was to build confidence in managing the staff. Sales and other work I adapted pretty quick but being able to make my own decisions with certain problems were a little but tricky in the first couple of months. 

Overall, I had an absolutely amazing experience with the work, the staff, and the customers.

Constant pressure to improve the sales when the stores are busy at all. Rules changes almost everyday - things that was okay yesterday wouldn't be okay tomorrow. Hours will be cut if you don't buy clothes from the stores with the employee discount. With less than 4 hours of work per week, it didn't make sense to buy clothes to wear to my work there. Clothes were very expensive even with the discounts with 4 hours of work. No appreciation or recognition of any talent. Lot of empty promises of pay raise and hours raise were given. If you want to buy clothes at discounted price and that's the only reason you want to work - then work here. Otherwise, don't bother because you wouldn't get paid enough to pay your bills.

A normal day at BCBG isn't always very high paced, but we always kept ourselves productive with cleaning or organizing. I would say I learned lots of things while being employed here, I am now very comfortable assisting customers and providing them with the best customer service, and am very comfortable working in a group setting and working together as a team to meet sales goals etc. The hardest part of my job was getting used to working for a high fashion brand and making that a part of my life. The most enjoyable part of my job was getting to experience so much more in the way of fashion, I feel as though I am now much more comfortable in my sense of style due to being surrounded by fashion.

BCBG MAXAZRIA was a most wanted company to work for, good job results and ratings. I absolutely loved the girls i had the privelege to work with,The staff respected me and made my part in the company more exciting.I learned how to create an environment based on company policy as well as developing a fast track completion of on demand paperwork for weekly stats as well for conference. The hardest part of my job was training myself in the important fields of my position due to no outside or company assistance. The most enjoyable part of my job was the visual aspects of floor-set as well as putting the store to an appealing investment for our clientele.

Fun work place, with an overall good management team, always learning new things, could be considers a fast pace environment in some days, therefore employees needed to be very quick and ready to perform various tasks at once. I loved the contact with the clients, learning and meeting new people from very different backgrounds, as well, I got to learn new tasks such as payroll, doing the schedule for employees, planing  the day and the tasks that the others employees needed to perform, I loved how much the managers allowed me to grow, but this is not my filed and I was not completely fulfilled.

A typical day of work was preparing for the opening, which included office work.  Floor Supervision was an essential part of my day.  

I learned a lot from being !st Assistant Manager in high end retail (quality service,  floor supervision and coaching the stylists on the BCBG philosophy).

Management was top notch. Our manager was extremely business and very pleasant such as my other management colleges.

My co-workers were young stylists who were very professional, hard working and very positive.

The most enjoyable part of my experience at BCBG was my co-workers and the wonderful clients.

- a typical day consists on a chat in and fill in of our personal log with the manager on floor where details about selling goals, loss prevention and other details concerning the store, assisting customers, attending to fitting rooms, cleaning of clothes, cashing out customers, clothing putbacks and closing procedures 
- as this was my first job, i learned many skills involving people skills, cash register skills, fitting room control and time management skills
- management was very fair and honest, easy to talk to and very understanding 
- the job was most enjoyable because it was a fashionable setting and felt professional along with the fact management was great
