What is the best part of working at the company?
The residents and building a relationship with them

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Things change everyday so being able to adapt to that is key, you have to pay very close attention so that residents dont get the wrong consistency diet or get things they are allergic or intolerant too. Etc. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
stressful, uncommunicative, and childish. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Help cook prep certain things, prep carts and trays, serve breakfast/lunch, clean up, do dishes, pour drinks/ make desserts. Prep carts and trays, serve lunch/dinner, clean up, do dishes. Do any remaining duties, home time.

The dietary department is an awful place to work. The manager does nothing to help staff and is never there to oversee and does not order the proper food for residents who pay lots of money to live there. Awful management and the co workers are just as bad, very clicky and will boss you around and treat you like dirt if they are jealous of you. Do not recommend. Management is horrible and will never never go by the books or union contract. 

The Hca’s are bullies and love to get others in trouble. If you are not in their gang they will run you out. Horrible people work here. Management is even worse.  The care residents receive is poor.  Do yourself a favour and don’t ever work here.  Also never put your loved one in here.  Some of the nurses that work there are out in left field and lazy. This place should be closed down. There has been abuse reported to CEO and she does nothing but brush it under the rug. If you value yourself at all never work here.

I did enjoy working there for the first few weeks, but after that it was more of a chore having to deal with co-workers and the other staff. If they were jealous of you, they'd do anything to hurt your feelings. It's a clicky place to work in. I was happy to be out of there. Was a stressful place to work.

It's decent pay, government froze wages, management doesn't do much to help out, some workers are very gossipy. It's a tough job. Would recommend any of my loved ones to live there. The residents are typically great and kind. Always short staffed and over worked. Never appreciated.

Terrible management at this place, very stressfull, always working understaffed, nurses are expected to be both health care aids and nurses.

Workplace culture is sickening

I really enjoyed working at Betel Home Foundation, I loved the employees and the residents as well. There was lots of recreational events for the residents. I also really liked talking to and getting to know the residents while cleaning their place of stay.

Time flies when your having fun and this was a fun place to work. The residents were awesome and made the job so rewarding. The nurses and other health care aides really pull together to help each other out and ensure all work is done and all needs are met in a timely fashion.

Betel home is a home away from home. There is full support given to all stuff and all necessary training is in place. The management is always available whenever needed.
