I’m not someone who’s ever quit a job but I had to with BDP. They contradict themselves constantly on what you should be doing, they believe every call is perfect and you’re the issue. They gaslight and sugar coat a lot with maximum criticism that’s not constructive as they think it appears to be. 
They’re not compassionate n’or understanding. They expect your work to be 100% your main focus and to put aside kids, mental health, health and just your life in general. 
They have poor communications skills and do things without telling you that will impact your $$. I was in the hospital due to heart failure and let them know and they expected me to work the next day, then randomly gave me the week off then placed me as an on call agent without consulting me. Now my hours aren’t guaranteed with already such low pay that I had to leave. Can’t feed my baby with pennies. I got job offers at call centres that pay 65k a year with benefits 10 times better than this, please consider. You’re getting yelled at 70% of the time on the phone already then have to deal with their issues 30% of the time. 

The managers/owners were nice people, pretty understanding for the most part, and did their best to make their workplace a good one. The call center itself was cold inside, so we always wore long sleeves and sweaters; often both simultaneously. The employees were all really nice people, and the team leads were both well chosen for their position. The training went great, and I enjoyed learning under those teachers. They even offered free food throughout the day. Kitchens were open to all employees, all week. Some of their policies were weird though; we weren't allowed to walk in through the front door when we were coming in, in the mornings, and we weren't allowed to go into the front office without being invited. But hey, free food, nice people, and pretty good hours, with some pretty good benefits.

Hiring process:
Very quick hiring and training process. 

Being quick at typing and navigating apps on a computer will give you a strong edge.

Customer retention work is always hard, make sure that you ask questions about your work to know if you can handle it.

Work experience:

The company culture is very much directed towards output efficiency, be quick on calls, ensure customer satisfaction and complete reports. 

Hard to keep up, especially at the start, but it eventually eases up if you ask questions. Supervisors are always available on calls and train you well. 

Due to high turnover, career advancement is quite accessible given performance and how long you stay there. 

Great Coworkers, Great team environment, Great managers, Challenging and rewarding, stretched outside my comfort zone for sure! Wasn't sure at first if I could do it, but with the help of the super knowledgeable team leads, they got me through the first week jitters and now I am really doing well and feeling so confident with my new skills. They really stick with you and teach you to be a winner. I see people getting promoted from my team and that encourages me for my future. Very different from other places i have worked, where you are really just a number.

A workday would entail of answering any questions that the customers have then they call in, by this experience I have learned  how to properly interact with multiple types of individuals on a daily basis. This was all possible by the great management team and also by the helping hands of my co-workers. The hardest part of this job would be working on a 8 hour shift with only 2 15 minute breaks, but on the contrary the most enjoyable part would be the warm welcoming work environment.

I worked at BDP for a couple of months before landing a job in my preferred career. All I can say is that because of the type of work I did at BDP, my communication skills have greatly improved and I have become a better negotiator!  Its fast-pace, but the work environment is really cool! they play music and give out prizes and there's a lot of promotions from the inside to. i really liked it when i got the hang of it !

Lively work environment with the benefit of not needing to worry about corporate politics. Growing company with room for advancements and an overall very nice staff. This company is a great place to lay some roots and learn a lot of new information. Whether it be an entry level customer service position or something more the opportunity for knowledge is endless. Definitely a fun place to work!

I worked at Bigdog payments for 6 months as a CSR. Managers and Team leads are very good at helping you understand the job but can be very stressful. There is little room for error. This company will definitely teach you a lot about how to communicate well and how to keep calm when the customer on the phone is upset. Good learning experience

My job as a customer retention agent showed me that this fast paced, work environment required different skills such as building rapport with customers, form relationships and establish customer network. I also assisted HR in their projects because they were aware that I am going to school for Human Relations and they wanted me to learn more about HR. My knowledge and assistance allowed customers to receive informative facts to assist with their decision-making.

nice people, they do care about you for sure, they also teach you a lot of things, they have a lot of patience, every day is fun with the team, a lot of room for growth too which is pretty awesome. I had to leave the company for personal reasons,but they really helped me out with everything.
