I did two shutdowns with bison, and I could honestly say it was one of my best experiences I've had working out west! Good pay ! I see alot of bad reviews on here but I also experienced alot of complainers working along side with me, didnt want to work! They have no motivation to learn at all and that's just the norm when your on shutdowns (slouches) and when they dont get a call back from the boss they want to ruin his name all because they couldnt keep up the pace , all the real workers never complained at all, they did what they were hired to do, and the ones that enjoyed working were always willing to teach you and actually had your back. I'm from cape breton so were known to be beasts out in the oilfields and strong work ethic no matter what tasks are at hand. Dont take every review you see on here serious cause i was there twice working for manni and I cant wait to go back . most of these reviews are from alot of dirty lazy people I seen it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears people lying about the company right in front of me. You want to work? And work hard ? And get rewarded for it ? Then dont listen to these reviews and go see it for yourself 

It's been about 6 months and still haven't been paid . They have a very very long list of workers they have not paid and they proudly do it to stay in business . They bill their work out to some other service companies while not paying for all the people doing the work. This is how they stay in business despite the downturn . The owners and manager play victim like they are new to the  country and people are trying to always bring them down but people are just speaking the truth. You will go months without work too as the clients even have had bad experiences and don't want trouble. They also are in hot water with CRA because of claiming they do not have unpaid workers when they in fact do, and claiming those as real expenses when they were not. Also they hire people without remitting their payroll deductions and that has not been going well with CRA either. Stay far away if you don't wana get in trouble.

Next to no consistency to work. Does not feel like a job at all. 

Since around March, there has been problems with payroll on almost every payday. Many people do not get paid on time, and to this day, workers from the Spring are still not paid for their work.

They would succeed more being a lawyer referral service, as itself and its owners/management attract or initiate many, many legal actions. The management very openly and proudly, tells people they'd rather go pay lawyers first before some select former contractors and employees - or the list of creditors who have already commenced actions against them. 

The ironic thing is the tens of thousands, if not over $100-200 thousand of legal fees by now, would had hired more quality staff or services by now, than whatever amounts the creditors were asking for.

I've never seen such an awsome and fast growing company like this one and there's no division amongst the workers like most company's we stick together. The management is awesome , they make you feel more then just an employee for there company.  they treat you with respect and integrity  . Like family,  and that's important to me for many reasons... and for those who knows what it's like to be away from family and your loved ones for long periods at a time believe me when I say working for this company is like " your home away from home " and the boss is awesome cause he understands us and he listens .   this guy is no joke he does a lot for his employees and I'll always work for this company for as long they'll have me . #bisonproud #strongherd #chinsup

Terrible terrible place. They expect you to fly across the country and then give you an air mattress to sleep on in a sketchy staffhouse or motel . Lots of people who work for them can't find a job elsewhere and are OK with poorly treated. The owners act like they are all innocent and good business people but they are shady and have a long history of not paying people and trying hard to hide it. They don't keep you working for very long either but on the bright side it is a good place to see an eye  opener . If they tell you to be grateful to have a job tell them to be grateful that they still have any business or anyone working for them because it wont last

They promise you lots of work and lots of money to fly across the country. Then they can hardly keep you busy and  expect you to sleep in a dirty staff house (which they have trouble paying for) on an air mattress. You then get told to be grateful to have a job but they should be grateful they are still even in business. This because of all the people or businesses who have gone after them or started going after them because they don't pay their people or their bills. Pay is way less than what you're worth as they love people who don't have an opinion or know what they are worth or what their rights are.

The owners have serious instability and emotional issues, and are unsafe and unfit to be operating a business. Many, many workers and vendors are not paid for their work. The work itself is almost non-existent, as clients have had bad experiences and do not want their workers on their work sites after a while.

There are multiple governing agencies investigating them since June 2019, such as CRA, RCMP, and OH&S. However, they will actively deny and go to great pains to hide from the public from what they do.

Work for them or render business with them, at your own risk.

Pay is terrible - usually starts at $350 for a 12 hour day to be a Class 1 or 3 operator. That is like $25 per hour. Some people are offered as low as $300. But you won't get benefits and won't build any hours for your EI because they pay you as a contractor to deny you any rights and to evade taxes. This especially if you need to go to Employment Standards or something like that for your unpaid wages.

Work is not steady because clients only use them when they really need to. Clients who actually like the people who do the work offer them jobs to get them actually a future.

Do a background check on both Bison and the management and owners . They have a long long history of not paying people or for their services . They pay a lot of people to try to cover it up but it shows up if you do the search. You will work hard to feed your family and be treated OK at first but then they will not pay you and starve you. They just have odd pockets of work for shutdowns or maintenance but no rational company will keep using their services due to how they treat their people and they have litte to no experience in the industry . Stay far far away
