BJ Services

The new BJ Services is not the same BJ as of old. 
Salary plus bonuses but the bonuses are paid monthly IF the ticket has been invoiced to the oil company if not it could take up to 3 months to see that bonus. Major problems in there payroll system and this results in wrong pay or not being paid at all. They will fix it if it is caught by the employee but you continually have to track your hours and job bonuses like a hawk. 
Third party vendors have continually cut this company off due to not paying bills for parts .
If you are a legacy Baker or BJ employee you will struggle to advance as they currently only promote former Sanjel and Schlumberger employees that were onboarded to the new BJ. 
Work atmosphere is harsh as they take on too much of a work load for the current headcount . 
They are quick to fire employees that voice concerns. 
Old equipment makes up the majority of the current fleet causing a lot of break downs .

Management is made up of ex Sanjel and ex schlumberger employees that do not understand the BJ equipment .  They fail to standup for there employees if a plan goes the wrong way . They continually blame lower level employees for job issues . 
Some management at BJ come across as not experienced in the division they run , especially the cementing side.  
I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a career.

Bj service's was once a great company to work for and learn from, management has adopted a new culture that is impossible to implement due to the lack of experience and training throughout the company. The guys you work with in the field are good, the management team is at times unapproachable, if you can get them to find the time to speak with you in the first place that is. Over the last year since the new bj has started up the amount of work they expect out of any one employee has gone up significantly with zero increase in benefits of any kind, the main reason for the extra work load is due to the extreme employee turnover rate and crew size in the field which is understaffed. If you enjoy following a ridiculous amount of policies and procedures with all of the paper work that follows along with them this is the place for you.

Worked for Baker Hughes for 3-1/2 years and I loved it. Then BJ came about, they fired almost anyone who was left from Baker and replaced them with people that they formerly worked with at Sanjel and Schlumberger. Anyone with an opinion or concern is fired. This is not a safe place to work both job wise and for a human safety standpoint. They only are willing to listen to a safety concern if it looks good for the company and they are going to have to do it anyways (like if a customer requires it on their sites). I have not seen skill or leadership from managment. They have made poor choices and refuse to listen to anyone for fear it might make them look weak. This company has a very high turnover rate. Constantly hiring people. 1 out of 10 people hired make it 3 months.

I was excited when I joined BJ Services as the company recently spun out of Baker Hughes and was going to operate independently again. However the management team lacks leadership, vision, direction and communication. The atmosphere is extremely negative and toxic and is filled with people that are friends or colleagues of people at the top. They do not trust others, nor will they give opportunities to those that do not fall within their circle of friends. 

Sad to see a company with such great history and potential being slowly but surely driven to the ground by a completely incapable leadership team.

People were so nice to me: I was a new comer in Canada and a full time student , that was an initial job for a month-part time, but ended after 8 months, when I finished my Office Admin- Oil in Gas accounting specialty and should go in practicum eight hours a day.
I worked in different departments especially in reception area, and accounting. I helped creating manuals for training, filling documents, scanning and sending documents by mail, or express delivery services, scanning customer's documentation, creating collective mails, catering, preparing training rooms, or other office duties.

The culture there is well below dirt. You will never move up. You will probably never get away from doing maintenance. The crew morale is the worst i have ever seen. There are workers in positions that should never be there.the job security is 0 one day you may have a job the next day who knows. They are constantly laying off their workers if theres no job for a month or so. Constantly take take take and expect more. Over all i will NEVER  recommend  any person to apply or work at BJ Services.

You never know walking in the door if that's the day they will lay u off . The commuter employees are favorited over locals . Managers are useless field sups are on a constant power trip the supervisors are useless all they do is sit in the sup office the crew cabbers are brainwashed some think they are gods gift to frac even with only a couple years under their belt . Drugs are rampant.

no one really could do anything in canada to much misunderstnding ftom the management in texas on what they purchased and how canada if a diffrent market to united states

I was at BJ’s for a little over 2 years and have to say they were very positive to work for in the beginning. Management was good and approachable, the people were top notch and we were busy. Then they let go of most of the old Baker Hughes employees and began to drive there employees into the ground. 8 days on 6 days off was your shift but you were looked down on if you did not want to work more than 14 hours a day. I would not recommend going hear if you intend to be happy

This was amazing place. The company hired me for a month and treated with respect, provided training, and excellent learning environment. 

However due to COVID-19 and thedown turn in the oil and gas industry, I was lay-off. But the company provide me with excellent severance.
