Have to be on the floor before shift starts, you may not be working were you were assigned, didn’t really learn that much, can barely understand most people as they do not speak English well, very confusing communication, little to no acknowledgment for a job well done, pushed to do more with not enough resources or people, unfair pay for the amount of work and stress, packing supervisor has poor communication skills with the lines they run(doesn’t understand english well), constantly being told by coworkers that they don’t understand my questions because they don’t understand English, no appreciation from any supervisor/HR/Managment/or Bosses,  constantly being harped on for having to frequent the bathroom, lots of favouritism, asked frequently if there is a sense of camaraderie with coworkers yet frowned upon if you talk to them on the line for any period of time. Honestly the most enjoyable part of the day is going home. The breaks are unrealistic as it just passes the labour laws, you start break as soon as the line stops and are expected back on line as it is just ending, about 5-10 mins of break time is walking to break room and walking back to line and you may as will bring nothing or something that doesn’t need heated for lunch or your waiting even longer to eat. I’ve worked harder more physically demanding jobs and this had to be the most exhausting mentally and physically as you barely get a break.  Some departments get paid more, only office staff get any type of benefits and they get more appreciation than the production staff. Some departments are favoured more than others.

I am 15 years old and had no experience until I was hired at Bosco’s. No one is keen to hiring teenagers under 18 years old, if it wasn’t for them right now it would be hard for me to find a job. I wouldn’t be able to get a job without any experience and probably would be searching for a job until I am 19. Yes all jobs have their pro’s and con’s and not every job is perfect we all have to understand that; you will never find the PERFECT job. I walked into that job knowing nothing and factory jobs are really difficult, every single supervisor picked me up told me I could do it and helped me through every. single. step. of. the. way. The Bosco employees and management are like family members to me, they have helped me experience what the real world is like and also putting a smile on my face whilst doing that. They understand what being a teenager is like and have been giving me flexible hours that help me balance school, and extracurricular sports, and my health. They always find a new task for me to do so I can understand what everything is like. Also it isn’t all serious, we always crack jokes in the lunch room, they always ask how i am, how i am doing and how i am liking it there. In conclusion I believe that Bosco and Roxy’s will definitely be the best first job I have ever had, if you have the time or an opportunity to apply PLEASE do it, it is such a good workplace and everyone makes you feel good! They make working so much more fun every single day:)

Was hired for full time. Very disorganized, no one ever seems to know anything. 

Decorating isn't hard, but you are under a lot of pressure to do every single one the same exact way, with very little time to practice or be trained. 

Management is nice, but again. Disorganized. And nice doesn't matter if you are uncertain of your employment. Terrible at making a schedule with time for you to plan for other things, like babysitting, school, or a second job. The friday before is not enough notice. 

Plenty of other employees are nice, but that kindness is very very limited. As a new employee they constantly tell you how you'll be let go or laid off as soon as the busy season is over. Or try to scare you that certain managers are bad and will fire you over anything. 

The holiday shut down is misleading. A week after the shutdown is over, still no hours. 

They expect you to show up and follow all these rules that management doesn't even follow (such as cleaning your shoes, changing into uniform, etc) 

That said, it IS enjoyable when given a task and left to do it confidently. I enjoy decorating, even packaging and enrobing. I do not enjoy having no confidence in the amount of hours I will get or if I'll still be employed next week. 

they no longer give you headphones, you have to purchase your own, and it can be difficult to get the tools you need to do your work.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working at the company is the collaborative culture and the opportunities for growth. I really value being part of a team where everyone's ideas are heard and there's strong support for professional development.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
One of the most stressful parts of working at Bosco and Roxy’s is managing large order volumes, especially during peak seasons like holidays. It can get fast-paced and physically demanding, but staying organized and working as a team really helps keep things running smoothly.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment at Bosco and Roxy’s is fast-paced but friendly. Everyone works together as a team, and there’s a strong focus on quality and consistency. The culture is supportive—people are willing to help each other out, and there's a sense of pride in creating high-quality products for pets

In my experience Bosco and Roxy has been a good place to work. I started in my afternoon shift but they asked me if I could move to morning shift because they needed me, so I moved to morning shift and since there I have being helping in everything they need me to do it. They have give me more responsibilities according to my abilities and I feel comfortable working there. Not all days are perfect but still is a good place to work. I have learned a lot of things there.i have made a lot of great friends and the management is like family to me I love waking up in the morning going to work ! And it is very hard to say that to a lot of jobs out there ! And I have met the owner she actually hired me on the spot ! And help me throw a lot ! And has giving me such great opportunities and more responsibilities and watching her work so hard everyday and she works with the employees! She is amazing lady and I’m so happy she gave me this opportunity working at bosco and roxy

Based on my work experience at Bosco, I would say it was an okay place to work. One of the things I liked the most was the team of coworkers, who were nice and friendly people. However, the salary offered was lower than I expected, which made it difficult to manage personal expenses.

Additionally, I felt that the company didn't offer many opportunities for growth and professional development. I was working there just to make money, and there was no recognition for my contributions and efforts in the company. The Human Resources department and the general managers also left a lot to be desired in terms of leadership and management.

Overall, I would rate Bosco as a average place to work, with both positive and negative aspects. If you're only looking for a temporary job to make money, it may be a viable option, but if you're looking for a long-term career with growth opportunities, it may be better to look elsewhere.

I worked here for around 5 years. I had been through many lay-offs, shortage of work and seasonal temps stealing my stuff. Consistently understaffed, managment is always left in the dark/doesn't care, and things change on a whim.
The people I met there were some of the best people I've ever met but the poor planning and managment of this company outweighs that.
Currently at the time of writing this you get one 10 minute break, and one 20 minute break.

Some of the people you work with are fun while others are complete brown-nosing tools, Line & production supervisors are quite obnoxious and very entitled. 

The work is easy but can be physically demanding if you have a bad back because you'll be on your feet all of the shift, breaks are not the best either (one 10 minute & 20 minute break).

Very little job security with virtually no room for advancement as well, if you show any signs of displeasure on the job you get dropped like a bad habit. 

That all being said if you can ignore entitled incumbents and don't mind being overworked on your feet all day for minimal pay this is the place for you. 



I have been working in Bosco and Roxy for 5 month, they have give me the opportunity to learn and work in different positions like packaging, baking, enrobing and Ovens and I have being able to work my 40 or 44 hours every week. Even when you have to work hard, I think it’s a really good place to be. The owner and supervisors take into account your commitment and you will have opportunity to make your career there. They really try to give hours to everybody even when the production season is low. You will always be scheduled in morning shift or afternoon shift, they have no rotation shift and sometimes they ask you to stay a little bit longer but it doesn’t happens everyday and they understand if you cannot stay longer than your regular time.

From the moment I started with Bosco and Roxy's it's been nothing but smooth sailing! I've been here for three years now and am so happy! They put the time and effort into training their employees and providing them with the resources and accommodations required to complete the job. They work hard but also reward hard work. The culture here is legit awesome, we are a work family and it is a lot of fun! Dogs are always welcome in the office and a brand new building with all the bells and whistles. There's a cross fit gym with daily classes, free lunches, happy hours, a hiking trail close by, and they are flexible!
