BREAKAWAY TOURS

Breakaway Tours is a travel company that provides particularly for students, and it is one of the largest student leisure tour operators in Canada. It is known for organizing secondary school graduation trips, and for the school I attend and some neighbouring schools, our destination was Montreal. Breakaway staff found the most qualified students from each school to act as a bridge between the students at school and Breakaway, to raise awareness and provide information about the trip. The school I attend, Louise Arbour, only had 2 organizers, one of them being myself.
All staff was fairly young, who me and my high school peers were communicating with.

As a customer service representative, I managed and organized the finances. Also, I independently prepared PowerPoint presentations and used social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter to promote trips. My main goal was to provide customers with important information regarding trips and deals that suited them, therefore I researched vacation packages which also helped in the sales approach to customers. I also constantly worked in a team of 10 people to brainstorm how the presentation should be made, I was also responsible for presenting the information to 50 or more people over a course of 4 months. I enjoyed the constant communication and helping of customers, I believe this is my strength.

so what i do is call people for a trip that me and my group plan and i have to call people in my school to see if they want to go or not and make a organized list to see if they want to go or not.

I had the best time helping recruit students and putting together a trip for our final years of high school I had the pleasure of being the schools rep and it couldn't have been anymore fun!

Great supervisors. The young lady that was the supervisor for me was very helpful and consistently answered any questions which i had. She was very punctual  and a pleasure to work with.

This company is a well reputable student vacations travel company that really did show me the potential of growth and supportive structure within a corporation.

My job entailed recruiting new members for trips and handling payments and inquiries. I learned how to communicate well to different levels of people.
