Working here was like working in a prison made for high school kids with delinquency issues... It was an unbearable toxic environment and the pay was garbage. Middle management is all kinds of a hot mess, every flavor of issue you can think of is present, just pick one, you'll find it. 

Upper management is no better as they all have superiority complexes and it seemed like a lot of white collar vs blue collar mentality when we should all be working together as a functioning cohesive unit... but that's just a precursor of what you can expect working here.

The shifts aren't bad but the fact that you're given two short 15 minute breaks on a 10 hour shift to shovel food down your throat is probably the most stressful part of the entire day when it should be the most relaxing.

Don't expect raises, don't expect to be treated like a civilized human being either. The inequity in this place has no limitations.

There's a whole lot more wrong with this place but I've cut this review short for my own safety and peace of mind.

If you value your time, value your self worth and value your own state of mental / physical health, stay away from this place.

DON’T ever think to join their residential estimation department in Concord. This department doesn’t have any reputation anymore. They hire people and they fire them. Last year around  four people lost their job all because of the internal politics in the  department. Lack of  supervision and you get blame for everything. They ( two who runs the dept.) really treat estimators bad and always mean to them. Things might get back to normal once the upper management fires the estimating manager who recently got promoted from supervisor post. Although, not sure they really care about the people who are getting  fired. They should investigate with the other estimators   with in the department in order to know what is going on in that department, whether its always the estimators problem or the manager’s.
Think twice before you accept the offer. It’s a toxic atmosphere they already created there. You have no idea in what you are actually getting in to.
They must know that people are resources not a piece of junk.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is positive and inclusive, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and mutual respect. The company culture encourages open communication, continuous learning, and employee well-being.

My biggest problem there is they don't pay well at all.  Every raise I got was only because I said I'd give my notice if I did not get one. Lots of lay offs.  When I quit they asked me several times not to go but would not pay what I know I'm worth. Other than the pay  it was my favorite job i ever had. I was their for six years. I worked hard and was left alone. I was promoted to lead hand of my department. Lots of paper work . Supervising the crew while keeping them motivated  and meeting quotas as well as doing my old job was my responsibility.  Yet I made just over a buck more than new hires.  The management their lost so much talent over the years by refusing to pay top workers. Sad.

I have worked closely with estimation and sales departments. The culture is really great, it is a very friendly environment and you feel welcomed and part of the family from the first day.

The whole company is growing, and there are couple of opportunities to grow in there.

At the beginning I was worried because of negative reviews about estimation department, then after joining I found it to be one of the best places to work at in terms of work environment.

A typical day at the job involved at lot of standing and walking, lifting product that was 25Kg or more most of the day as well as cleaning the department you were in, same for the yard too. I'd have to say the hardest part of the job was that it was all glass, a simple accidental scratch that cuts to deep into the glass would make that piece useless and have to start over with a new piece, quite expensive and reminded daily of that.

CEO is a great guy. Thinks about his people and move company forward. Mid-level management is poor, under a cover of not doing micro-management they don't want to manage at all, expect employees are going to do everything on their own including training and not going bothering managers unless it's a critical situation when it's a little to do to improve. Have to work overtime all days long without reimbursement and even thank after all.

Thank  you so much this place was awesome from the diverse community in the factory lovely people good positions shift from 12am-10am was great got to return a lot of sky scraper materials yet some weeks you feel emotionally drained but it was a over all lovely would go back if they would hire me in as I was a temp still did everything I would if I were in the union much love respect vibes

The staff is very hostile and it's like working on eggshells the whole time. The management there is very poor and the environment is as if you never know who is going to get let go next. The management take their stress out on you and expect more from you than they give back. Not to mention they never follow through with their promises so do not be fooled!

BVGlazing Systems is a great place to work. The company really values safety and has a strong team culture where everyone feels supported. Pay is great, work-life balance is solid, and there’s plenty of room to grow. Plus, being a leader in high-rise window manufacturing means you can see the product on most highrise buildings in Toronto!
