I worked for the company for almost 5 years. You only get a raise if they feel they “need” you when other people are quitting. Management needs some extreme training on how to treat their employees with respect. Working there was like being back in high school again. I was lucky enough to be on the “good” side of management but saw some coworkers who were not and I was disgusted by the way they were treated. The management once refused to hire someone for an admin position because “he didn’t fit in with the others” which was a complete lie. The management will talk about you to your fellow coworkers and vice versa. You don’t get any training from the management you get training from the other employees but there is no wage increase for those training. At one point I had 4 project managers and never received any compensation for taking on the extra work. If you do well, you are compensated with extra work. The company overall just needs a lot of work. The wages are totally not worth it. I started out in basic admin and the pay was roughly $17 an hour which was great. When I moved into an assistant role I was told the starting wage was $19 which was also great. I didn’t receive that raise until 4 months later when I finally said something and they never back paid it. They also tried to make it seem like it was a huge raise and that not all the assistants got that much (clearly not remembering our previous convo that that’s what the assistants start at). Just be cautious if you’re applying for a job here is all I will say. 

Company will send you in to do a abatement jobs without any training , know how, or knowledge about anything pertaining to abatement or the risks to your health. 

Your coworkers are often unskilled or insufficiently trained. 

Management doesn't work with you to help achieve the targets given and often expect unrealistic results. 

No regard for work/life balance. Often will send you an hour to 2 hours away from your home to work on sites, when often there will be one within 15 to 20 minutes of you. Sure, they supply of work vehicle. But living in Langley and driving to North Vancouver and back often enough, not being paid for travel, gets frustrating and ends up becoming a timesink. 

When I first applied at Barclay Restorations, I had truly only anticipated to work there for a short period of time between career paths.  I began as a flood technician 5 years ago.  It was the people at Barclay which peeked my interest to start with.  Six months into my position as a flood technician I approached management about opportunities within the company if I decided to make Barclay Restorations my career choice going forward.  I have been able to accomplish a lot in the last 5 years and I've had a blast learning every day.  I cannot wait for the opportunities that lay ahead.  Barclay feels like family.

I have been with Barclay for almost 5 years. I started as a receptionist for the first 3 months, then I was move to the Xactimate Department. I had no experience in Restoration and have learned as I go.  I have been lucky to work with great people. We share a lot of laughs but also work hard. I can depend on my co-workers for back up anytime. I love the fact that I get to always learn new things to better myself. Although my job has changed over the past year and had it moments of stress, I always felt I was not alone. My job is very rewarding. 

I love learning and evolving in my department. 

Contents & water damage departments were absolutely wonderful to work with along with other admin team members. As a previous project manager assistant, my project managers were absolutely phenomenal and wonderful to work with. However admin management / higher ups are an absolute nightmare and do not have any empathy or care for their staff. Extremely overloaded and overworked and under appreciated for the little wage you get. Would 100% not recommend employment here.. 

I did enjoy my time for the most part working at Barclay. The environment can be fast paced and stressful, but the jovial and family like atmosphere makes it a good place to work.
They are constantly growing which is a good thing for you if you are willing to learn and grow.

Berkeley doesn't Discriminate any mental illness Issues. They're very caring and loving individual. Anybody will be lucky to have a job working with Management at Berkeley restorations. They protect their worker. Through thick and thin. They will stand by your side. They make sure their workers are 100% clean records Before they allow their employees to enter a home.

Management at Barclay Restorations ensure that the highest levels of quality are met for our type of industry.  Staff are kept motivated at all times and ensure that an excellent open line of communication and training practices are put forward. I've been in the restoration industry for 10 years and respect the management and staff here at Barclay Restorations.



Barclay is a great place to work.  They have good wages/benefits, and the work atmosphere is focused and driven.  Staff are rewarded with fun / extra efforts made by management to show their appreciation.  It's a really good work environment and suitable for anyone with a good work ethic/positive attitude. 

Not a good place to work. You have to practically beg for a raise after 2 years and some of the management treat you like slaves, don’t care about employees at all. Employees are made to do most of the office cleaning and the power went out once in the year I worked there and we were told to get the cleaning supplies out and get to work. Do not recommend!
