The Bay Company was an enjoyable experience for me.   Co-workers were amazing, helpful and cheerful.
Typical day open cash in a.m.and tidy the tables etc. ready for clients.
Learned  - there are some customers not to be taken at their word when returning items especially
Management was always just a phone call away and easily worked through any problem that existed.
The hardest part for me was accepting the fact that customers would actually remove labels etc., from clothing in the change room and walk out with them.  I learned quickly to not to trust everyone and seek help from management if in doubt.
I looked forward each day to coming to work and meeting the clients and working with the lovely clothes.

A typical day at work is surprisingly physical, carrying objects and linen from one end of the site to the other as an example. I am given a list of jobs to do in which I have a period of time to complete them. This has enhanced my time management skills and helped me become more responsible and independent. I've learned a wide variety of things at my time at this current work place, meeting people from around the world with different jobs and experiences. Most days I am working hard to ensure my tasks are complete and in the evenings I work on the bar, interacting with costumers.

When I was working at HBC,my mainly duties is to promote the skin care and cosmetics to the female consumer in different demographic levels.To coach them the right way to apply skincare and cosmetic.

My job including sales and marketing, 
Sales: Build relationships to the customers come to the beauty bar to do the skin consultation services and make them to finish as much as purchases then finish my sales target.

Marketing: Participated store events, distribute samples promotion flyers,gift with purchase,on site beauty services.

The retail beauty world is taking a path away from the traditional department store counter set up. People prefer Sephora and Nordstrom where they can browse through a variety of brands with out sales hassle. The Bay, with their recent renovations, went in the opposite direction and the beauty department is feeling it. Traffic is down dramatically and the employees are being blamed for low sales when really the company needs to head in a modern, more streamlined direction. CoWorkers are hit and miss, as is management.

It was a nice job under the wings of the Bay where I worked eight hours , five days a week with free weekends  in order to prepare academically for my Master degree in business administration.
The business atmosphere was not bad  and friendly in general, the hardest part of it dealing with the Bay's staff who never follow the rules of department store ! I enjoyed dealing with customers who really appreciated our business manners and excellent customer service, the customers were the best part of work at the Bay department store.

I would come to work from 7am make sure my section is clean and tidy before the store opens. We would switch bed styles and sets on the bed displays. Which took most of the day at work. The management at the bay were great people and enjoyed working with them and my co-workers too. They allowed me to be creative with my displays that I created for the store. I found the hardest part of the job was getting the bed displays ready because they are queen or king sized beds, and every piece had to be ironed to look perfect for customers, but i enjoyed making every display.

Everyone is so friendly at the Bay. Everyone is equal and everyone takes care of everyone. This is a company that genuinely cares about its employees. Managers are more than understanding and extremely patient.
The hardest part of the job was probably dealing with that "once in a blue moon" angry customer. Other then that its a pleasure, but you have to be ready to give it yolur all. They work your butt off.

Explain features of products and answer questions.
Experienced in using tells and various forms of payment transactions.
Have Good numerical skills (counting and mental calculation).
Perform Signage of products.
Complete tasks as precisely and thoroughly as possible; respect and follow instructions.
Able to work with tight deadlines and handling stress.

Bag and wrap merchandize.
MS Office, internet/emails, typing skills= 25 wpm.

Offer insight on product knowledge and find an item that reflects customer needs.
How to be able to work in several departments and build relationships with customer.
Large department store so management dealt with many things at once, kept very busy.
Hardest part was finding the right item and making sure customer loved what they purchased.
Being able to merchandise and help out with large store events.

- Helped customers with enquires – provided advice, styling tips and product knowledge.
- Managed cashiering activities in areas of purchasing, returns, and exchanges, and enforced store policies.
- Assisted other colleagues in all cash register responsibilities including balancing, handling customer purchases, and organizing cash register.
