Store Management is one of the most challenging roles in a retail environment. Coming from an Engineering mindset I saw how I utilized my dexterity of amending robots functions towards retail business.
Robots are great devices to work on and every now and then an engineer is tempted to make changes to it so it can multi-task and feed different purposes on any given time. I learnt how I can use the same intellect towards a Retail/Customer Service Environment.

Before opening the store, I would print the Performance Metrics Reports and see where every Sales Consultant sits with their sales. I would start every representative's shift by focussing on one specific behavior and how that behavior can contribute to our sale. Everyday different behaviors would be coached, depending on what products aren't selling(Reference:Performance Metrics Reports). I would spend 6 hours on the floor and use my evaluation tools to check how Sales staff was approaching every customer.

Challenges are faced at every work force and that is what determines your level of interest towards a job. I-rate customers were the hardest and the best part of the day. I enjoyed dealing with them because regardless of how upset they were with Bell, they would leave my store with a smile. Majority of times, I would establish such relationship with them that they would become repeat customers.

I have worked at the company for three years and have experienced several different managers. I have had wonderful managers as well as not-so-amazing managers. My co-workers have always been great and I enjoy working in a multicultural workplace. I have learned how to properly assist a customer in tough situations with a variety of situations. The most enjoyable part of my job is interacting with customers and finding out a little bit more about them. As I am very experienced with this job, I do not find that I have many difficult tasks. Typical days at work consist of interacting with customers and providing them with quality services and assistance. The key goal is to listen to their needs and to put together a program that works for them. My tasks consist of setting goals and hitting targets as well is providing face to face customer service.

working at bell was very important for me to make sales and by doing that you need to start off your day positive. I would make sure I know all the bundles before I join the other employees on the floor and also by being respectful to everyone. I would say working there help me learn how to interact with people in a professional manner. Management was great and treated us well. I never had a problem with any of my co- worker because I'm  a people person and I can also tell when someone is having a good or bad day and how to handle it. The hardest part of working there would be seeing a customer leave unhappy and there nothing you can do about it. the most enjoyable part would be working with positive people and help out customers.

A typical day of work involves daily chores like keeping clean, counting money, being in a very strong team environment. Management there is amazing i have a great manager and asst manager and that makes the job in my opinion. My co workers are awesome to, we push each other to do better but also support each other. The most enjoyable part of my job is making the customers walk out with a smile and a stress-less experience. its truly rewarding.

A typical day here revolved around educating customers and potential customers on a variety of products/services and listening effectively to their needs to establish the best option for them. As well as communicating with suppliers to return damage/defective phones to be replaced or repaired. There was a great deal I learned about customer relations and retention.

Plenty of hours available because of the small number of employees, decent wages with commission upon the opening of new contracts; constant training because of new hardware and software; this is a dealer store so we could not help customers with a wide variety of issues, had to refer to corporate phone numbers on many occasions.

At this job I have been underpaid for what I can do for far too long. You get to see all the latest mobile devices before most others but it hardly makes it worth the lack of hours and boring shifts.
This makes a great part-time or summer job. Not a career.

This job was great for when I was on summer in high school. It was convenient, interactive and social. This location is in the middle of a mall which played a large role in our commission. Managment brought in a "spin wheel" for prizes if you made a certain amount of commission, some which included trips, to a $500 bonus.

Loved every part of the sales aspect of the job. Trying to help customers find exactly what they are looking for and at the best price was a great feeling of accomplishment when I had customers leave satisfied.
