I have never been happier. I left a toxic company, and was fortunate to find an opening as a road appraiser for auto insurance at this company ( Estimateur Route Automobile ) 
Getting most of my road appointments days in advance allows me incredible autonomy in planning my days! If I want, I can do all my road appointments in 3 days and then take it easy for 2 days and just take calls and write my supplements. My manager is incredible! He actually gives me feedback all the time. I am still getting used to working for positive people! I am not used to it..

The salary, benefits, drug plans and stock purchase plans are crazy great! And defined benefit pension is the icing on the cake! VERY hard to find that now these days due to the costs on the employer.

I get anything I need anytime. We have open overtime anytime we want which is very helpful! The tech provided is GREAT! I received new Intel I7 super speedy touch screen laptop. Not some old Intel i5 garbage where you have to wait ten seconds for each page to load. This company provides cutting edge tech, not discontinued garbage. They WANT you to have everything you need to do your job properly.

Everyone on my team is great, very friendly and quickly answer questions over TEAMS or phone.  I also get to choose ANY company car I want within their budget, meaning I won`t be stuck in a Corolla or Nissan Versa for 4 years. Being able to choose what you need for company car is an incredible benefit! If you have a family, you choose a larger station wagon. If you are single, get a coupe! Its the incredible flexibility and autonomy which makes me happy to get up and work every day!

I plan on retiring at this company. I cannot envision any other company offering me more stability and control over my career.

I learned here that positive workplace culture makes all the difference when it comes to doing your absolute best for an employer. You give what you get. 



Having joined SSQ 4 months ago one of the very quick realizations was that the workforce is truly engaged.  Employees truly care about whether they are doing a good job and are very willing to go above and beyond. The organization has done a very good job of getting employees to share their perspectives even if they are different from the norm.  The management team heavily believes in being empathetic and supportive in coaching employees to realize their full potential.  Agility as a large employer is difficult, but the current crisis due to COVID-19 was an amazing example of the agility of the organization as they virtualized nearly 2000 employees in 4 days.  But the best part is simply the people.  From day one, not only was I welcomed by my own teammates and manager, but received messages from various employees across the country.  I have very quickly created relationships with my internal teammates from across the country and can honestly say they are a pleasure to work with.

This is a commission only, basically contract position.  The independence is great, if you can stay motivated.  It is primarily cold-calling, so be ready for a LOT of rejection.  Any of the existing clients that you see, you will likely be trying to convert their products into something else.  Be prepared for a LOT of travel, miles, and expenses.  If you don't have a very new, and/or well maintained vehicle, the wear-and-tear could be a big issue.  The workplace culture is really good, everyone is more than willing to try to help you succeed.  There are weekly sales meetings, rewards, trips, and lots of advice and guidance from those with more experience.

Arrive in the company at least one hour early, go to the nearby restaurant, have a breakfast.  Then read news paper, keep up with
the domestic and international news, updating the global finance,
stock market, and GDP of our country, to which it might affect our
company's business.  Then, upon arrival in our company 15 mins
early and say good morning to our manager and co-workers or greet
one another for a while.  Should there be a minute meeting as required by the manager, well prepare and share with your manager and staff your opinion of your job accomplishment. Assigned by your
manager your team partner for daily work.  Team work is good, for
we work together to achieve the same goal for sake of our company's
revenue.  We can share our sorrow and happiness working together,
like a member of a big family.

I don’t now where to start if I’m being honest.
I go hired at La Capital but we are currently in a merger with SSQ. Working here has been the best employment I ever had. The Manager is amazing. They have adapted hybrid work from home. You choose if you want to go into the office. Everyone from co workers and higher ups are super supportive and friendly. 
They are understanding and really care about your well being. The salary is fair and is based on your performance. You even get a bonus depending how well the company does which is added plus! They even give out surveys that are anonymous that ask how you feel about certain topics or address any concerns you have. 

Selling sickness and accident insurance to farmers and small businesses. They do provide you with past customers to visit and they should be contacted once a year. Bat the time I worked for them, I found that staff kept visiting them so a lot of them had visitors very 2 months or so and they were upset. Very flexible hours but turnover rate is horrendous. Out of my training class of 5, everyone had left after a year.

Their growth strategies for outside Quebec are really inspiring, and have opened up a lot of opportunities for employees. Their social committee host monthly events that really bring people together. Unlike other large companies, the CEO actually spends the time to meet each new employee and introduce them to SSQ, our culture, our background and future growth. 
They are moving more towards having all employees with laptops, as well as many roles have work from home opportunities. There is a free gym on site as well.

A typical day would include opening the office, lights, computers etc. Make coffee for incoming salespeople.  Answer all incoming phone calls and greet clients and salespeople.  Kitchen and washroom upkeep as well as boardroom clean up. Computer work sent from head office and communication with head office constantly.   Prepare packages of work related product, through courier. Oversee office and report to manager any problems and phone messages etc.

If you are being recruited as an Advisor for Beneva (formally La Capitale), run in the opposite direction. Interviewers target anyone who uploads a resume on a job platform, and on-board anyone who walks through the door. New advisors will sell to family members out of desperation, and experienced ones bug aging clients. As others have said, this is commission only and no sales leads. My impression of this business is that it’s an MLM. 

working conditions for students is very harsh compared to their peers. yes, it's a good salary however the rest is not worth the pay. examples: you will work every Saturday, vacations not guaranteed, you will work 3 nights. All changes negotiated by the syndicate will only benefit full time, permanent workers and students will be disrarded on new changes.
