Job generally consisted of helping customers/working cash, while stocking or performing other duties when possible. The Port Moody location isn't super busy, so there is quite a bit of down time to fill. First manager was mostly checked out, which was fun in its own way, but it was clear she was on her way out. Second manager was brought in to "whip our store into shape", which mostly consisted of making us stop using tape and not buying floor cleaner for mopping because it would supposedly save money, but really just resulted in employees not being able to work effectively. The customers and location are great, and the job isn't difficult by any means, but the experience of being employed there is brought down by management looking to wring whatever they can out of an under-performing store.

Honestly at first I was super excited to work here, heard much about the place but once you really start it's not worth it. The staff is really clicky, and will talk behind your back. Always gossiping about everything, so had to be very careful of what you told other staff members. The floor manager was the worst, very drama based, everything was about them, and was very manipulative and backstabbing. Always would cause issues for other staff members, to the point no one wanted to work with them anymore. Management picks favorites, which I think is very unprofessional and unfair. 

Overall my experience working here was terrible, and I wouldn't even recommend this place to anyone as a job opportunity. Truly underpaid for the amount of things we had to deal with and do. 

This place was alright to work for. It’s a relaxed environment. Except the manager at the time would almost micromanage and nit pick the next day if you missed something. I was treated like a assistant manager but was never given the title. I worked nights alone. Did inventory alone and had be up on a ladder by myself. I was promised fulL time by the manager and getting benefits but that never happened as I was kept just under the cusp of 40 hours a week. I even worked with a fever and shouldn’t have been in but nobody was available to cover me and I didn’t feel like bothering the manager to have her come in.

cashier work mostly, doing displays, stocking, doing orders

Working here was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The company as a whole has no regard for employees. Countless times I would indicate things that would need to be fixed or corrected within the store, and on every occasional was ignored. Management is stretched so far, and given such little freedom that they are usually not able to assist or prefer not to. The benefits are a slight plus, but the low wages and high stresses that come with this job make it a complete joke!

This job was one of the funnest to have. It was never a dull moment with the employees I worked with. The regulars who came in were always so kind and always stayed to chat with us. People were always talking and interacting and listening. You definitely get to meet a lot of different people and I always enjoyed that.

I worked here for about a year, and although some of the customers were difficult the overall experience working at Berezan was good. The only tough part of the job is angry people that you are denying service to. They could use some more support at night time though more than just a supervisor. 

l loved working for Berezan Liquor store! My coworkers, supervisor, and store manager . all of them were team players. Very helpful in progressive learning and constant on the go jobs to keep busy! If I ever moved back to Surrey, I'd ask for a job again in a heartbeat!

Never felt appreciated, everyone gossips & talks absolute garbage about everyone. Management doesn’t know what they are doing. Supervisors aren’t great either. it’s overall so bad and I wouldn’t wish that place on my worst enemy. Wildly immature, toxic and not fun environment. 

Management / head office is a joke 
They use you until they’re done with you and fire you for no reason. 

Expect way too much out of you , you’re basically a house cleaner , janitor on the side with terrible pay

Only good thing is the benefits.
