What is the best part of working at the company?
Amazing service and great company truly cares about providing the best service for clients and comfortable environment for staff. 
The management team is adaptive and quick to respond to and resolve employee complaints/issues.High end security company with excellent customer service. I am grateful that the team is always available to answer any question and make me feel safe , helping promptly with our security needs as well. They are the best security company in the city!
They have always been punctual and alert which ,I like the most and feel honored being one of the soldier of the force.
Highly recommend them to anyone who asks.Great place to work.

Freedom of work. Lot of learning experience

Good working environment and Excellent business ethics 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Signing in, camera surveillance of site.
Handling trespassing or vandalism. Internal and external patrol.Issuing Parking permits .Intract with government department.fire police,paramedics etc,vendors, board directors, residents owners and all contractors.
Public relations with all.

This company is runned my inexperienced managers hired from within the company . They never respond to messages or email/ call from their employees and also they know when to call when their is an emergency scheduling and once u pick up that shift to cover for that person , you end up working there and u will see it in your schedule it doesn't matter how bad/good the site is so expect that. The scheduling for this company is horrible and don't expect to work at a fixed site with fixed hours , you could be working 5 different sites per week for all you know . Dispatch doesn't seem to know how to do their job since they are behind most of the scheduling and cannot comprehend basic English . Some of the sites for this company is good but don't keep your hopes up thinking you will work there everyday , its like playing Russian roulette u never know which site u end up . the 5/5 reviews are obviously fake like really ''free lunches'' oh please this company has no benefits , no real place for growth and expensive cheap quality 400$ uniforms. You will never see your pay rate increase and it doesn't matter how long you've worked there and your hard work is never recognized or rewarded .

You can get flexible shift schedules and convenient locations. They have government sites and hotels. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You have alone and interact with strangers in the public. There wont a back-up. You have to work in certain awkward sites day and night in extreme weather. No facility for heating, charging phone , power bank, water, WIFI or drinking water. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The employees, managers and dispatch are not cooperative. They are not professionals in finding root causes of security issues. They are happy when they find a fault in you that they can fire the guard. They  will be sad, if the guard perform well. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clock-in on arrival by calling the dispatch from site cell phone. Patrolling in own car, but they wont pay for the gasoline expenses. Access control and contacting police for offences.

My job was to perform duty at sites like yards, under construction buildings etc., patrol the parameters and check all entry and exit entrances. It was all season job particularly at night during winter while snowing and Artic Wind blowing at times there was no cover. Cooped up in your vehicle in open areas on occasions was not easy to tolerate. More so I was looking for a regular job and switched job where there were more opportunities. The company was in expanding stage. It was looking for more contracts. 
One night there was a big scare as police was looking for a criminal hiding in nearby location who was armed. The entire location was cordon off and traffic was suspended.

Total garbage company. - Overworked Employees, No respect for anybody. Company is run by employees who thin they own you

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Inconsistent hours ranging from 0 to straight 60 hours another week. Treat immigrants with disrespect and pay attention to employees who are citizens. Bunch of goofs

Toxic, Disrespectful and Stressful

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Immigrant employees especially from Punjab who work at Construction sites. Dont even wear their uniforms and sleep in their cars during night shifts.

There are good and bad things working for Best Guard. You have to buy your uniform and the pay is low. On the other hand, if you're new in the industry it's a good company to break in with. I was paid on time, usually a bit early, the amount was always accurate and never once was it late. I received a fifty-cent per hour raise after six months.The managers may not sparkle with personality, but they were honest with me and always treated me with respect. If you are reliable on the job and honest in your dealings with them they'll treat you well. Not the best place for a career, but a very good place to get started.

A typical day at work will include the following:
The necessity of arriving at workplace on time.
Going over all memos left by the other guard:
Making sure all equipment and necessary documents are prepared.
To be helpful towards customers needs.
One of the most valuable skills I have learned in Best Guard was to pay careful attention to customer's needs, while evaluating their request and finding the best, suitable solution.
The hardest part of the job is to fill an accurate report in case of accident.
The most enjoyable part of the work is the amount of free time given for observation of surrounding area.

Compared to other security companies the pay may not be so great, actually it's bad, but you can advance very quickly.  HOWEVER, very flexible to your schedule, they know and refer to you by name and your colleagues are amazing.  Small company but with a big heart, very understanding and if you ever have an issue while on duty, very quick to respond.  Compared to other larger companies who treat you as a number, slow to respond to your issues and just belittle you at every opportunity, Best Guard should be on top.  
I would highly recommend this company to work for, also to hire.

This company has a terrible management and HR team. I have seen four security guards get fired right after a week before their probation ended over trivial issues like coming in late to work just once by mistake or forget to wear your name tag just once, no warnings given straight termination. They notify you last minute of your termination. They may even suspend you, and according to the law if you are suspended for longer than 13 weeks that is an automatic termination but they do not care about the law, they will keep you in the company in case they need back up at any of your trained locations.

Terrible security company to work for, the management is as unprofessional as it gets, they charge around 400 for the cheapest uniform set, they don't reply to phone calls or emails once some issue has occurred with a security guard such as being late 3 times in one pay period and then they will just fire the guard without an explanation or reply to calls/emails, they even go to the lengths of cutting the call without a call back if it is inconvenient for them.
