BioVectra is like working at the High School you tried to leave behind. Management are fully supportive of back-biting and bitter uncooperative attitudes among coworkers. Cliques exist which hold considerable sway with management, allowing managerial staffing decisions to be swayed in favor of the interests of a manger's favourite person/clique. Favouritism is rampant among the management, and a clear bias exists with regards to these people - again, encouraged by management.

That aside; the attitude that BioVectra takes towards to previous experience and skills that employees bring to the table is abysmal. The corporate policy is that any experience gained outside of BioVectra is irrelevant. This is contrary to anything that is told to you during the interview process - as they want to hire people who do have experience, but then disregard and devalue it at every turn after you sign your name.

Accepting employment at BioVectra has been the largest mistake of my life. I actively encourage those considering employment with BioVectra to reconsider their other options.

While some employees mention occasional communication challenges between teams, overall morale is high and turnover is relatively low. Biovectra’s commitment to continuous improvement, sustainability, and community involvement adds to its appeal. It’s a great place for those seeking a stable, science-driven career with room for advancement in a mission-oriented organization

Only employing individuals with no work experience. Dangerous and poorly managed 
If you want to remain someone who holds value. Steer clear of this environment.   
Next to zero hands on training when dealing with dangerous chemicals and processes.  Current employees  have little to no workplace experience. Creating a toxic and extremely dangerous working environment.  Their structure is ha gong on by a thread —remeber when you decide to work for a company if their priorities are the lives of the ground floor workers. Or the executives.

Human resources isn't very transparent or helpful in any way. Virtually useless

Working with highly toxic chemicals, no windows in manufacturing setting

BioVectra is an Island company with vast learning potential for students coming from many aspects of training. BioVectra encourages training and growth because it recognizes the benefits to the organization. The company is good at seeing individuals strengths and promoting from within. BioVectra will offer education to all those willing to accept the challenge.

If you like independence and challenges, this might be the place for you. 

You will succeed and prosper with initiative.

The production staff is treated so poorly by the department management and other departments. Although most of us are very knowledgeable (and over qualified for the role), we are constantly undermined and treated as if we are dumb. We are very underpaid in comparison to industry standards. You need to suck up hard and work so much overtime to the chance to be able to move up. At that point, it is not even worth it. Very corrupt workplace and most of the time they are not even in production, so we are forced to go to "work", while not having anything to do. 

The work culture at BioVectra can be great if the staff and upper management like you. They are open to hiring a diverse group of people. They have a high turnover of employees. Many people do not stay very long. Many employees claim that they are undervalued and the company does not care to change the culture to make things better for the employees. Every experience with every employee is different. 

HR is a group of 15 people, who don't really know what's going on. They are high turnover positions, with low retention rates. ONE OR TWO OF THEM ARE MAGINAL, AT BEST.  They'll say hi to you the first week and then you'll never see them again. They are never in the office .

They claim to generate jobs but most are temporary so they can meet contracted milestones and pay you poorly, then do mass lay offs when work slows down.

It horrible place to work. A stressful environment with the Production department with high pressure of work, and treat like an animal. Very poor management. Cannot represent our reviews what we are facing through. I don't know how this company can work like that Especially Windsor Facility with not providing proper benefits, and a significantly higher rate of employees who leave a company before their probation period gets to end.  

Very organized company. Shift work that changes from days to nights every two weeks. Hard to handle the turn but overall the people you work with worth the drawbacks. You can have your coffee and nobody rush you. Very good training with one designated person to do all training which is an huge advantage (to make sure everyone gets the same training and not many different views from different people). I really enjoyed my time there.
